1. Welcome to Thailand Vapers, an English language forum for members in Thailand and the rest of Asia to talk about vaping.
Commonly referred to as e-cigarettes, vaping is really about the use of personal vaporizers (mods) and atomizers (tanks, clearos, RBAs, RDAs, RTAs) filled with e-liquid.
Are you looking to get started or an old hand at vaping? Everyone is welcome here so sign up today and talk vaping with us!

    Be careful guys and girls!
    Warranty policy of Fasttech
There are screenshots of my negotiations with them about warranty
    In the couple of words

I've ordered first Joytech Egrip at 20-th June. It was broken (I can't charge it) from the box. Fasttech said that I have to send it to them back. They asked me to send Egrip back to them
I've received new (second) EGrip at 18-th august.
So 3 days ago it stopped to work again. I can not charge it. The charges are ok. I tried to use different charges that I have at home but charges don't work with Egrip but work fine with other different devices.
Now they say that my warranty time is out.
I had to wait over 1.5 month to send first Egrip to them (10 days), wait when it will be in stock (3 weeks) (because "solly mista no have"), wait for delivery second Egrip to me
But after 4 months it stopped to too.
So now they say that warranty time starts from the first order. And they don't worry about time for delivery defective item to them back, delivery time to send new one to me, and time "solly mista no have". Now my warranty time is out already they said.
Report to me if you can not read my chat with them on screenshots. I will download it in better quality
    Sorry for my English

It is known FT has in-house warranty only with their own conditions.

That's partly the price we pay for such heavily discounted items- other vendors, who maybe have better warranty options, also charge a fair amount more; the same can be said for GB, with whom I have an ongoing 'problem', you "pays your money and you take your choice"- with FT,I have probably bought more than 30- 40 different items, easily, and feel that if on occasions I get a problem, it's part for the course.

Good if you live in USA or GB. There are no problems about e-cigs, dealers and waranty.
But this is Thailand forum. And E-cigs in Thailand are prohibited.
So nobody of forum sellers got me a warranty when I asked them about it. Nobody! And prices here are about 1.5 times up than in China. So there are no problems about price where to buy. Here or there
But now we talk about FastTech. And now I just want to say to you about their warranty.

GB does not mean the country, it refers to GearBest another Chinese vendor with warranty issues.

Incidentally, as I say, I have been buying from Fasttech for many years, and am aware of their warranty, but thanks anyway.

You know, it's a plastic $40 (1400 Bt) mod from China and you got 4 months use of out it
I know really you'd think it would last longer, but as above, it is what it is..
Buy a ProVape radius, a decent mod with a Evolv chip in it and it would last a hell of a long time.
Yes it's gonna cost more in the first place, but you're getting quality over ....chinese crap...

Say you go through 2 or 4 cheapish Chinese mods, all pack up after 6 months or so, well you could have got a higher end mod which could have lasted years,..

Me, nowadays, I don't bother with the cheaper Chinese mods, clones or whatever, I go with the Evolv, YiHi or ProVape stuff..
For tanks, then yes I will give the cheap Chinese tanks a go, mainly the clones as there are some good ones out there and at the end of the day it's a tank, easy peasy (or so you'd think) to clone a bit of metal with no electrics in it..
That's where these cheap Chinese mods go wrong, the cheaper components for the chips in the mods....
    Just my opinion though....

After my short experience vaping, I tend to agree with you. I still like my Chinese stuff, and it's a cheap way to find out that vaping works for me, and to try RBA and sub-ohming. Now that I'm virtually certain that I want flavour above everything, when my present stuff dies, I'll look for one quality mod, and experiment with tanks, coils and juices. (Unless the idiot Governor of the Bank of England continues to talk the pound down).

Doubt there's a vendor anywhere that would replace a replacement 6 months after the initial purchase.

    Yep, too bad!

I, for one, always had a great time reading about your adventures with those cheap mods and all the problems you encountered when you got them and trying to put a new chip in them. Now I hope somebody will take that position from you that likes to buy cheap crap mods and write about the problems you encounter to fix them...anyone?

I have a functional Joyetech eGo One Mega with a stuck button. Can happen, but it is such a non-sense issue to let an otherwise good device fail. A short search on the internet taught me I am not alone.

We are used to have at least 6 months warranty, and even after that a reputable company will still think if the problem may warrant a good-will procedure. The warranty by Joyetech on this device is 3 months, mine failed after 4 months.
So they know what are they producing, the reviewers know what are they reviewing, and we buy knowing that it is disposable junk.

    Wow, .
I have 3 types of iStick, none of which have blown up yet, all still work, almost all my tanks are Chinese and all work flawlessly. I have 2 P4U Mods again, working fine. I have several Kanger products, both Mods and Tanks, all good.
I also have 3 VaporSharks and currently 1 SX Mini, these are expensive Mods and they, too, still work.
Chinese Vape gear fills a niche in the market, in my opinion very well, those who can afford High End gear can buy it, those of us who cannot will buy clones, and take our chances, if they stop working, I for one, don't sweat it.

TBH I have never had a problem with the warranty on chinese products as I look at it like this. You gegt what you pay for. If you buy cheap anything knowing that it is probably a low quality product and it breaks that's just the price we pay. Having said that I do feel that tghe high end vaping gear is almost always way over priced and would like to see the manufacturers address that rather than keep extorting a huge profit margin from the v aping community. Having said tghat I no longer buy the cheap gear as a rule and pay the extra for a good warranty and build quality.

Like I say, " You pay your money, and you take your choice", if you want stuff that will last then you must pay for it. If you pay the price of a Chinese Mod, then you can't expect it to last.
Most of us, who have been vaping for several years, are well aware that without the Chinese manufacturers we would have had very limited and expensive choices. They stepped in and gave us what we all wanted.
