E-cigarette research: temperature of evaporation

Just a thought on the "new" temperature controlling feature and it's hype in the Vaping community.....
Searching the web with this term "temperature controlled vaporizer" will bring a ton of pictures from devices used for vaporizing tobacco or herbs, even medicines are inhaled with such devices.....

Were is Vaping heading to? Don't get me wrong, i certainly welcome a device with temperature controll which can be still used with any RDA or RBA. But h ow about herbalizers for example? i don't hear anything about regulations on such devices.... Hopefully the temperature controlled feature will not be the beginning of the end of Vaping as we know it.

The FDA can't regulate it, which is why I think the FDA even trying to regulate an e-cig is bullshit. Tobacco only came under the jurisdiction of the FDA in 2009, they have no business regulating stuff that is advertised for herbs. Prior to that, tobacco only fell under the ATF.

 

Noticed that with some of this devices oils can be vaporized too? Not far away from e-liquids or am i on the wrong path here?

In the article in the OP is mentioned there are two devices atm with the temp control. Anyone know which is the 2nd one?

 

The stuff you're looking at has a little oven in it, not coils. There is no wicking, the content is just heated until it vaporizes, or at least the stuff you want in it vaporizes. You end up with sludge once you're done with it, which can be a pain to clean. Yes, we're heating stuff in both kinds of devices, but the ones you are linking are a different beast than ecigs.

The other device with temp control is the YiHi SX350 V250 which I believe gets released at the end of the year, but I can't rightly remember.

 

Thanks for the clarification but those times are gone man, was just curious if those kind of herbalizers would not work with juice as well but as you mentioned these devices work whiteout wicking so i guess not.

 

Some one else had a thought on the temperature controlled vaping as well....
