1. Welcome to Thailand Vapers, an English language forum for members in Thailand and the rest of Asia to talk about vaping.
Commonly referred to as e-cigarettes, vaping is really about the use of personal vaporizers (mods) and atomizers (tanks, clearos, RBAs, RDAs, RTAs) filled with e-liquid.

Just ran across this on FB...a link to the article is here.

Makes life interesting if you're flying from KL to SG with vape gear! Hope the rest of the air carriers in the region don't jump on the bandwagon...

Seriously, who the hell is ever going to fly with them these days...they have much bigger problems than vape gear loose in the cabin.

I flew with them a month ago, great companies with unfortunatw issues IMO.

Now the reason of this regulation, as stated in the text, is because a ecig caught fire in bag, means the set up was ON or operational INSIDE the back, that vaper is a moron if you ask me.

Common sense will have you separate your atty and battery when you pack, right !?!

I fear that other airlines will do the same. The FAA is the Federal Aviation Administration of the US, so I am sure when they "recomment" something a lot of lairlines take is as an order. But just my guess.

Yes and because morons exist, they make the life just so much more difficult for the rest of us. I guess That i still can pack some mechanical mods, or overpriced tubes in the check in luagage, as long as i take out the batteries, but for all kind of mods where you cant remove the battery, you have to have them in your hand luggage. Just another rule, because someone just never get it to pack a safe suitcase.

Most airlines I know of have banned Li-ion batteries from checked baggage for years.
