    5 million Baht worth of illegal goods seized by Customs


    AUTHORITIES have seized ivory, illegal liquid inhalants, pornographic materials, libido-boosting medication, hookah tobacco, electronic cigarettes and other illegal items worth Bt5 million in Thailand-bound packages, Bangkok's Customs Office director Prayuth Maneechote told the press yesterday.
    These items, seized between October and this month, were fewer compared with the previous year, he said, adding that some of the people involved had been arrested.

    Another reason I stick with our Thai vendors. I'm far to nervous to risk not getting the vaping gear. And also on a budget with limited resources for vaping gear. So I just continue as I'm use too.

    Nothing to worry about here. The majority of government employees do just barely enough work to not get fired.

    Follow the advice on this forum (that's been repeated in many threads) and you'll receive your packages 99.9% of the time.

    "5 million seized".....how much do you suppose got through?

    To me, it's pretty obvious that since October they have been anything but on the ball.

    I imagine that haul is what is confiscated on a daily basis in most countries.

    Isn't this exactly what they sell on the streets of sukhumvit, patpong etc

    If they don't stop the shipment they could just take a short walk around the tourist areas.

    As an aside, I have still been seeing bottles of juice at vendors on sukhumvit. They don't have much, but it's something. They still have the ecig starter kits as well.

    Yeah, we don't want to give them any ideas...tourism is already in the toilet in most areas. They did close a few night clubs for having hookahs/shishas at the end of last year...but it's back to business as usual in Fun City. Places even advertise having them in their radio spots...TiT

    Well probably not here yet. Seems like it's still a very high % coming in. Probably better that it's 2 orders and not one as it seems like smaller packages have a higher chance of making it.
