**HOT** US FDA Final Deeming Regulations Just Released

So D-day is April 2018, because they have two years to comply?

 

It's going to be an up hill fight from here. Amendments are usually much harder to get through and take a long time. Unless a court grants a stay while the fighting goes on, the vapor industry will be dying a slow death. My understanding is that there is still a 2 year deadline for compliance after the regulation is officially posted. If this is the case that should give the vaping industry a fighting chance to stay alive for a little longer but since the government will then start being able to tax vaping products, it is still essentially a no win situation. Juice prices could easily double or triple and expect a heavy tax on equipment as well. Things are looking bad and the rest of the world will be monkey see, monkey do.

 

And I just read after 90 days from 10 May they cannot bring new products on the market anymore!

 

With the loss of the US market, vaping product innovation will crawl to a stand still. With more countries likely to follow don't expect anyone to spend any money on R&D.

 

First EU now US ... I can only wonder how soon Asia will follow ...

Reading the document... Just wondering how far into the future someone is going to have answer to the decision to "deem" a tobacco use reduction product as an actual tobacco product itself? Doing so is a mental contortion on its own. But for the sake of public health? It is a bit hard to swallow.

If there is to be a focused effort on stopping this fiasco, hopefully it will concentrate on the absurdity of this primary falacy.

 

So the US lawmakers want to repeat prohibition, and have vapers inhaling something mixed in a shed, with a dead rat stirred in for a better throat hit. I've never wished anyone to die a horrible death from lung cancer, or a cardio vascular disease, but I'm coming close. Trying to condemn potentially millions of people to an early death, just for a fat brown envelope.

 

You should! It's fun! Especially when it is on smarmy smug cynical vicious lying fart-faced law makers who are either clueless about the far reaching implementations of the laws upon laws that they are endlessly creating or simply do not care.

Even more deserving are the do-gooder puritanical types who have decided its their job to tell you how to live. Mostly these freakazoids are over compensating for behaviors of their own that they wish to control but can't.

The most deserving are the scrooge like prune faced do-gooder puritanical types who have decided its their job to tell you how to live because they genuinely hate fun and anyone who partakes in it.

All the more reason to have fun by wishing they die horrible deaths. It is a liberating activity that more people ought to enjoy.
