Law on marijuana should be eased

Research reports demonstrate that marijuana is less harmful than cigarettes or alcohol, with a much lower addiction rate. One researcher said some law enforcers agree with decriminalising the weed.

I think it is better to ease the ban on vaping first.

I don't think it will be more safe here in Thailand if people start driving stoned behind the wheel because they already don't think driving drunk is a big problem.

I do think for people with certain health problems it should be eased immediately.

 

I guess tobacco companies could start manufacturing marijuana, recouping some profit lost to vaping.

 

I wouldn't trust it if it is manufactured by a cigarette company!

 

I think its a good thing and would definitely partake with a PAX, if it was legal.

I agree about the road safety concerns. This is something that already needs dealing with. It would be better if they didn't, but if people want to drive plastered and hurt themselves, that is their own choice. When there are other people on the road, they need to realise the risk they are posing to others. I've been here a while and I've still not become numb to the lack of empathy in some areas.

Another thing that would need a lot of attention is that Cannabis is not for everyone and can induce psychosis temporarily. Although you aren't going to overdose, and it's less likely to happen from smoking it, it can cause people to lose touch with reality in ways that cause accidents. Edibles are the real danger, especially if people aren't warned about the strength.
