1. Welcome to Thailand Vapers, an English language forum for members in Thailand and the rest of Asia to talk about vaping.
Commonly referred to as e-cigarettes, vaping is really about the use of personal vaporizers (mods) and atomizers (tanks, clearos, RBAs, RDAs, RTAs) filled with e-liquid.

I can't believe what a chump I am! I didn't check back for replies to this post. Not only a vaping n00b but also a forum uber n00b!

I ordered the EVOD 900mAh full set and some juice from tienga

Thanks for the advice, I'll upgrade the atty as soon as I can. I've already ordered the EVOD900 full set but I understand it's just a starter kit. Still upgrading will still be healthier and cheaper than smoking.

Then again, I only bought two cartons of Apache clove cigarettes a month = 460 baht.

My EVOD kit just arrived. It was easy to fill up and no problems with leaks or anything else.

The only e-juice flavours I ordered were the Garam (10 bottles) and one vanilla. I've tried out both and like the clove taste but the vanilla isn't bad either.

It looks like I'll be trying out some other flavours but I'm trying to remind myself to just use this to give up my dependence on nicotine.

Good to see its working for you, If you want to try something new but dont want to spend too much try converting one of your coils to micro coil and cotton. http://www.thaievape.com/general-thailand-e-smoking-vaping-discussion/6093-cheep-clearomizer-works.html I woulkd recomend a protected battey or Mod though.

If you can keep to your plan of using vaping solely as a means of kicking your nicotine addiction, then it can definitely be cheaper than smoking cigs.

But for many, it becomes more of a hobby, especially when getting into the rebuilding aspect. If it becomes a hobby for you, it can easily be more expensive than smoking cigs. But one can't put a price on health, so personally I think the cost factor is not really that important.

When I started vaping I just wanted to quit smoking, and I was only thinking about getting something simple and not complicated. After doing lots of research during my first week of vaping (with a clearo), I bought a dripper, built a coil and since then I've become addicted just as much to the hobby aspect of vaping as I am to the nicotine. This is partly due to the more satisfying vape from the dripper, and also because it's very interesting and enjoyable to build and experiment. Since then, I think I've been spending more on vaping than I did on cigs, but I haven't actually done the math to know for sure. For me, I don't have any plans to stop vaping. I think if I did stop vaping, I could very well fall back to cigarettes after awhile. I had quite smoking for months and years at a time before, but always went back to them eventually - usually during times of stress, or when getting drunk with friends. If I stop vaping, what's to stop this from happening again? I guess if I did quit vaping, I could always re-lapse to vaping as opposed to cigs - definitely something to think about. That's just my take on it.

I'm possibly a bit different to most because the reason I took up vaping has zero to do with health benefits. Although guess that is a bonus.

I'm a chain smoker when drinking and drink often and I just got totally fed up with the bad smell and ashtray tasting mouth in the morning. Vaping has done away with that problem.

Other things is I now enjoy the luxury of vaping indoors without the lingering smell. One other which sounds silly but I was getting fed up with going to 7/11 for smokes 1,2,3 times a day.

I still have the odd gasper here and there. Occasionally bum one from someone in the bar if I'm running low on juice and not ready to go home but I can honestly say after the first drag it tastes like s**t and I would rather be dragging on my e-cig.
