    Many thanks DSieter.

I haven't put my order in as yet as I have not decided the best way to go to get a good spread of brands so I can start to have some personal preferences. So I now have another battery to take in to account as well. Good to know as well.

Many thanks and your post is greatly appreciated.

OK Just a final update on what I have decided to get, so someone can tell me I made a mistake:grin: Only kidding,

Getting the iTaste VTR kit with the iClear 30s included. Also the iTaste VV V3.0 with the mini protank for the juice, for when I need to be a little bit more discreet or just want something a little smaller when I am moving around. Also getting some spare coils for both as well.

    Panasonic NCR 18650B 3400mAh with a Nite Core i4 V2.

Juice I am starting with GLV New Minister No 23 18mg, GLV Deadly Sin 18mg and English Bulldog 12 mg. Halo Belgian Cocoa 12mg as well. these selections have been made by shamelessly going through many posts and picking a few from the things said about them there as well as the reviews at Mickys shop.

Up until now I have been forced to use any rubbish that I can get locally in Pattaya as I am so new to vaping and didn't know just what there was available. I am now looking forwrd to a FAR more enjoyable Vaping experience as I will have some more superior quality equipment and juice

MAny thanks, once again, for all the help so far. It is greatly appreciated.

Conngratulations, with your choices, pommy. I have a VTR kit myself and I just love it. It also has the ohms meter I was talking about, and it is a device we can grow with. You can use different tanks on it and it gives a great vapor. I am very happy for mine. I also use the mini protank on my ego spinner, and just love the tank. Since it's glas you can also vape peppermint or menthol, without cracking the tank. I even have the Nite core i4 V" from Micky and its just a fine charger. I was in the same situation, you are in now a few month ago, and then I found the forum and Micky shop, amd wow it made a difference for my vaping...So i also bought some good devises and I'm a happy vaper now, before that it was just frustrating. And I noticed that both of your devices comes with an Ohm meter, so you can also see the resistance of a coil. Good choice as I can see.

I never cracked a tank with menthol and i use very strong mint, the juice that cracked both my iclear30 tanks was homemade rasbarry, i over did it and put 20% in, took 2 min to crack the tank

I echo that you have made some good choices. I also echo watching the likes of Pbusardo and Todds Ecig reviews along with as many others as you can find. One thing to consider is that everyone has their own tastes and what works for one person might be a bit naff for another.

Juices are especially tricky and subjective.

If you are using a plastic tank ( I Clear 16s etc ) then avoid strong fruity or acidic types of flavours as they may crack the tank. You can get tanks made of glass if you like that strong Raspberry or a cinnamon style of juice.

For your Chocolates, dessert type flavours ( custards, caramels etc ) and tobacco flavours the general rule is that plastic will normally be fine although there will be exceptions.

There is also the choice of wicks which will confuse you somewhat.

Most people prefer either a cool vape or a warm vape.

Cool vapes generally mean the coil ( atomizer ) is further away from your mouth so a single coil at the bottom of the tank is more likely to be cool.

Warm Vapes are the opposite so your I Clear 16 will generally be a bit warmer.

The newer ( and in my opinion, excellent ) Dual bottom coils such as the Aspires whilst being at the bottom generate enough heat in the vapour that the vape is reasonable warm as well .

The Rope looking wicks you have got in your Iclear are very good but you 'can' get a dry hit unless you take care to keep the wicks wet by tipping the Ecig when the juice gets a bit low.

The bottom coils are fed by gravity so you will probably get less dry hits unless you vape non stop like a train.

I would also advise one more thing.

Get yourself a few simple throw away Dripping atties. Look for something like this Cisco LR 306 Atomiser - 1.5 / 1.8 / 2 / 2.5 Ohm - Low Resistance Atomisers - Atomisers as you will find it invaluable in trying out new juices without having to clean and fill a tank each time.

Either way enjoy the journey. Vaping has literally changed my life for the better and I cannot recommend it enough.

Thanks Vapermorphs. I am sure it will be excellent. If there are a few things I don't like I know it is still good gear and I can just fine tune with the next gear I buy to my own personal preferences. That was the idea in spending a bit more initially and I think it will work out fine.

    Thanks for the reply Merangue.

As you can see I have gone with the mini protank 2 and the itaste 30s. I decided against the iClear 16 for that very reason, until I find my juice preferences. Mini pro has a glass tank and the 30s is reported to not crack. Time will tell of course.

Had a look at that Cisco LR 306 link you sent me. Interesting indeed. Would I be right in assuming that the drip tips I have on my tanks just screw on over the top of it and I drip 1-2 drops through it and go for it?

Haven't really had time to look at atties yet but am interested in looking in to dripping for initial tasting at least.

And thanks for the info on the different coil placement. I hadn't realized that. Once my equipment arrives from Micky I will look in to different tanks with the bottom coil and try a few out.

    Many thanks for your reply.

Be sure to let us know your opinion once you test it all out :vaping:

p.s. for an extra 220 baht (i think) its still worth trying out an aspire bdc. and no, they dont pay me for all the recommendations

Well unfortunately Micky is out of stock on a the Innokin iTaste VV V3.0, iClear 30s and the GLV juice so I have had to change it up a bit.

I have gone with teh eGo V V3 Mega LCD instead of the Innokin VV V3.0. Thankyou Vapormorphs and Dieter for pointing me there.

As I have the iClear 30s in the Innokin VTR I am getting I have now ordered the Aspire BDC 3.5 as well, so I have spare tanks for the VTR, and to try the Bottom dual coil. Thanks to yourauntybob and Merangue.

With no GLV or MTB juice I have now gone with Halo for this time and some bottles of Free Life to try. Had to do something as I Just can't vape the juice availabled in Pattaya any longer than I have to. I will probably go straight to the source for juice now as it seems to sell as fast as micky can get it in. I will try Micky first though. Gotta keep supporting him as much as possible.

Yourauntybob....As for a review of the equipment I will try. I have nothing to compare it to, except the low quality in Pattaya, and no experience with vaping, but I will do my best. Should be fun.

Actually for the Cisco LR 306 you would need an adapter to use your own drip tips instead of the one supplied. Sorry I forgot to mention that. There are plenty of similar attis that work with the more common 510 drip tip however. I just prefer the performance of the 306 and an adapter is one a couple quid.

Be sure to buy some replacement atomizer heads for your iClear 30s. The higher-resistance ones are better.

None of what you're considering buying is very portable, though. I'd recommend a handful of 400mAh 'shorty' eGo-C batteries and some eGo-C Mega Dual Coil XL cartomizers for when you're out and about, along with an Innokin U-Can to hold extra juice. You can't buy the batteries nor the cartomizers locally, AFAIK - but you can order them via the Internet.

Get a couple more iClear 30s clearomizers when Micky has them in stock, again. It's always a good idea to have spares, and you can rotate them. It's a good idea to have one for 'heavy' flavors, and one for 'lighter' flavors.

I clean my iClear 30s clearomizers and heads by rinsing in cold water; carefully removing the small plastic cap atop the atomizer head with a small flathead screwdriver; dunking all the pieces except the soft plastic cap in hot (but not boiling) water with a denture-cleaning tablet; rinsing again in cold water; soaking in vodka for 4-5 hours; rinsing in cold water a third time; then air-drying for a couple of days.

Be sure to get 3400mAh batteries for your VTR - I bought 4 of them, along with the NiteCore 4 charger.

Micky is a great vendor and I bought all my VTR stuff from him. He's knowledgeable, efficient, and honest. Can't recommend him enough. I only buy from other vendors when I need things that Micky doesn't carry.

Many thanks for that. Spare heads are in the order already for the 30s and the protank mini as well. All higher resistence. As soon as Micky gets the 30s back in stock I will be getting a couple more.

Regarding the portability issue, you're right. But to be honest I just wanted to get set up to do this and then go from there. Once I have this order and have got used to it and have an idea of how much juice I am going through daily, I can look at the smaller more portable set ups. I am a 40 a day smoker atm, or at least I was, and have only been vaping for 3 days now on poor quality eGo ce5 copies with juice that is so bad i can't begin to describe it. But I am going to cut out the smokes no matter what. My 2nd full day of vaping today and I had only 2 analogue, And that was really only because the juice is so terrible. But it is all I can find here in Pattaya and I have to wait for next week and the order from Micky to arrive.

And because I am just setting up and have no juices that is why I am looking at buying elsewhere. I would much prefer to go to a supplier I know to be reliable and in Thailand than outside, but he has unfortunately run out of a lot of the juices that he carries and that I want. I plan to use Micky first for my vaping purchases.

As for the batteries and charger I have got the same on order.

many thanks for the cleaning tips on the 30s as well. I was going to be tackling that a little later on after I had fully checked the forum and utube. A good clear and concise cleaning regimine.

Where and how did you get the Bobas, Anbessa?

I'm not really into tobacco flavours, but I'd like to try it.

I order directly from Mount Baker Vapor, because I use 24mg liquid with extra flavor shots, and nobody carries that here in Thailand. It look only 8 days from the time I ordered until the package arrived on my doorstep via USPS First-Class International and Thailand EMS.

I was smoking 2 packs a day of Marlboro Reds, and since I started vaping, I've never touched another cigarette, even when I'm reeling drunk, heh. I strongly suggest you look at 24mg nicotine concentration, so that you get the nicotine you need without resorting to regular cigarettes. Later, you can gradually reduce your nicotine concentration, if you want, but starting out with a high concentration is key for heavy cigarette smokers who want to come off the coffin-nails.

I agree with the nic content as I am/was a 2 pack high nic per day smoker. I have to admit that I am near enough chain vaping all day with the ce5 copies and the 18mg ( at least that is what they say it is) juice that I have been getting in Pattaya. Only way I can keep off the analogues. Again I can only wait for my order to arrive from Micky to see how this changes what I do. Once I have been using it for a few days I will have a MUCH better idea of what my nic requirements are.

The other problem is, of course, that even with my current equipment I really have FUN when I am vaping and that makes me vape even MORE!!:vaping::vaping::vaping::vaping:

Oh well. 1 week and I will have more info.
