I bought mine from Big. It's the Tobeco clone, and after I first was really happy, I had a big downfall on it. The Tank did wobble from side to side when the airflow control was screwed on. When the airflow was closed the wobble was really great. End of story is that I was thinking of throwing the tank in the bin, since it not only did wobble, but I could not get the tank to unscrew without the help from some pliers, so the tank has some scratchmarks by now. I saw the video @yourauntbob posted, and it did not help, after seeing it I found another wich explaint's it. It looks like Tobeco did not fasten a certain screw tight, and that coused the woblin. After i followed the instructions in the video, my Kayfun V4 is a really fine tank again. I use the subohm kit from big, without an airhole screw, so the airflow is just fully open, and tightening this very well hidden screw resulted in that I easily can screw the aircontrol from full open to fully closed without ptoblems and I can easily screw the tank sektion off to get to the build. All the problems just gone. So now I have a good working but scratched Kayfun V4, And i like it. But for a newbie, not the easiest tank arround.

Here the video. The reviewer is not to quick to come to the point, with a lot of irrelevant rambling, but the only video i have seen, that mention the problem, I and others had with the Tobeco clone. The problem with the wobbling is at 18.00 and forward to 22.00. Fut for a newby who has the time, a very fine video, that shows all the part the Kayfun V4 consist of.

Hey thanks I'll check it out. Btw, I've had the wobbly prob too but re-assembled and it's smooth again. Think my present issue might be wicking. I've placed so much attention on building coils that I've probably overlooked the importance of correct wicking.
If you can recommend any decent tutorials please let me know.

@Dieter. I believe it's part 9 that can cause the wobble, too tight and it will make the juice control stiff

@Wighlander The wicking in the pictures below should work well, personally I use the method in the first picture with similar designed deck (I don't have a Kayfun).
Also, make sure the channels on the deck are free of burrs that could possibly hinder wicking.

I know the pics are not of Kayfun 4 builds but the same methods apply

@Wighlander - So many videos and tutorials out there and even those videos involving the older version Kayfuns can be applied.

Great pics supplied by Rick. Recommendations though that if using rayon the first few pic methods can work really well but the last picture method may not as the juice can tend to pool at the bottom of the deck with all the extra wicking laying there. For cotton it may work really well though I would still go with the style in Pic #1. On the Kayfun 4 my rayon wick tails are thinned-out/cut back about 30% to 40% with the ends just touching the deck. Similar to pic#1. In my experience it works very well that way. Oh and make sure you use more rayon in the coil then you would cotton. Should be quite tight and just about at the point where any more would be difficult to pull through the coil.

I'm gonna try this wicking method when I get back home. Standard v4 @ 60w. He also uses same method on Lemo Drop in another vid.

I have seen these. He's a member of the SX Mini fanboy page.

With the Lemo build though I did notice that although he had it at high wattage he was taking very quick draws.

*Also he's using max VG. I suspect 50/50 it would piss all over the place after a while, particularly if left on it's side. <-- referring to the Lemo build.

Let us now how you get on ;)

I use some of the same methods with my rayon except the rolling and the combing. Would definitely advise against rolling rayon. Instead of combing I use an airblower (bulb shaped hand blower for camera cleaning) and blow at the ends of the wicks to fan them out and separate the fibers then I start reducing the wick by cutting away the sides at angles and also the bottom at an angle...the bottom very much the same as the vid but just a little more upwards toward the coil....so the bias is to have the fibers from the top 1/2 to 3/4 of the wick being the ones that are mostly touching the deck. Much easier to do the bottom cut if you join the tail end fibers together (not tightly) perpendicular-shaped to the deck and pull it up a bit before cutting to make room for snipping. Sorry I dont have a vid or pic to show.

Well, I won't be hitting a v4 at 60w with a similar build way too hot for me. I'll give it a go though, nothing else to do ;)

With the Kayfun 4 I use cotton and don't let the wicks sit right on the hole...I fan out the end of the wick and push it up against the side of the deck wall...never a dry hit and it wicks great

Thanks for all the wicking tips guys. Wifey's got some of those pure cotton makeup wipes (the ones that look like little teabags) so I'm gonna try them out.
