Yea I know what you mean. This is a great atty, but I wish they only made 2 holes in each post, because it is really a pain in the a.. to put coils on this.

I found it an absolute cinch to coil and wick. Are your post holes misaligned or badly machined?

The inside of the posts has been hollowed out too much. The post holes themselves are OK and I was actually thinking what a great idea it was to do it like that assuming it's to make it easier to cut the tails.

Hmm....so the too-hollowed out post holes referring to cutting coil legs when securing? I am using 32ga twisted Ni200 which is quite fragile and did two builds with no issues getting them placed and secured as well as no cutting of the legs. Maybe you are referring to something else?

    I think so.

Where the post screws screw into, it is too big inside there, turning the screw always pushes the wire to one side, I made sure to exit through the post hole directly opposite.
I have tried placing a tiny allen key in the hole to prevent the wire being pushed to the side, it just seems to go to the other side which is really hard to see. I even used 26ga which IMO is too big for this tiny deck.

I don't mind a challenging build, this one is ridiculously tedious though. I'm gonna get a replacement but think I'll wait a bit, I don't want to get another one the same.

No complaints at all in the discussion threads about this.

Mine may have gone over to one side or another when tightening but it's been and was very secure with current and previous build I did. I also hadn't heard anyone make mention of a problem like that. Maybe yours was just machined badly inside the posts. It would make me crazy too if I couldn't get even 26ga wire legs secured, that's for sure.

You know when you adjust you coils? They just spring back because there is so much movement inside the posts. When heating the coils one would fire and the other one wouldn't even glow. I probably spent 2 hours on it.

Definitely want to give it another shot though, mainly due to the hybrid connection. This and a Heron will be my NI200 attys.

If you dont get the wires from coil number 2 into the same holes as wire 1 from the opposite side there is no connection to one of the wires, when using thinner wires. This may have been ok if the holes lined up, but they dont It is a real shame, because its a great atty.

Got mine from Big today. Machining of the threads were not that good, very sharp, but a little sanding took care of that. And a little fiddly with the coils.
But I built it with dual coil at 1ohm. And it vapes like a dream, likes the fill system very much too. Even the dripper part works well.
A really great atty, I even like the look of it.

FT want me to do a video for my issue before they'll accept a return. I might print out some disgusting hardcore porn images and use as a mat to demonstrate the issue.

Rick You might want to try a sleeper coil then you only have to match the wire in one post.
This is really a great atty, so I hope that you can get it to work.

That is an option I didn't consider. I wanted a dual coil around 1.3-1.5r because I'll hybrid it onto my ZNA and in 18500 mode the battery will cut out too early. Just went with a single coil in the end.
FT are sending me new posts.
