Great that FT are sending you some new post. I really hope you get it to work, becaus it really is a great atomizer. Easy to refill no leaks and of course great taste.

 

Hey Rick. Is this all because of the posts cutting the wire? Seems you really do need a new copy. :-(. Mines been a charm with no problems after a handful of different builds

@Scratchy it does sometimes but the real issue is the negative post not trapping both wires. One is always loose at the side. I pull it out, straighten it, pull it to the right, left, up, down, shake it all about.

The one time it did trap both I pulled the legs so tight I couldn't pull the screwdriver out without pulling the coil to shit.

Good two hours spent on it last night until 2:30am lol

Single coil is fine and, as flem suggested, a sleeper might work if I terminate both ends in the positive which seems to be the better post of the two.

Just waiting on FT to say they have the posts.

 

@Scratchy could you take a look at these 2 FT listings?

a few questions

1. they are seemingly identical in every significant way... chai mai? Even the photos. The only differences worth mentioning are that item 1986300

a) makes a claim on how great a copy it is (1:1 is over promised and not often delivered)
b) suggests the stainless steel is of a certain type​

these things are not immediately verifiable and are mostly not relevant as the other item also may or may not have each 'feature' with the same probability.
2."sales to S. Korea prohibited", could this have been added and then sales of the "good" ones resumed?
3. @Rick-O-Shea : was the one you purchased either of these item numbers?
4. if anyone had to pick... would you flip a coin?
5. is it time for some force of nature to come along and destroy Shenzhen freeing us all of this horrible gear hoarding affliction?

Hey DV!

Destroying Shenzhen would be a meager effort for one with your abilities DV! I don't want my ability to hoard taken away. Please hold off a decade or so for Vietnam or somewhere else to start picking up the slack for SZ.

SKU 1980900 is what I received and was originally labelled I believe authentic, then very soon after OEM which is when I bought it, then afterwards OTM. In discussion threads FT confirmed the OTM is 316 as well. Differences? The beautiful box included with the OTM? Otherwise they look the very same.

I would say to get the same one I did but would first recommend delving into the discussions in case any issues were found. Mine's been absolutely excellent. Planning to purchase another.

I looked at these two too. But I ended up buying from Big, just ordered my second one. Cheaper and much quicker. But I may give one of this a try to.

 

What box did it come with @jon ?
I'm assuming Big's is the Tobeco but he doesn't say specifically.

 

Yes i'ts the Tobeco. As I don't have the others I cant compare. But the one I'm using has been very good.

 

Still waiting on my posts (been shipped) decided to have another bash at dual coils, this time with 26ga.
Success at the second attempt.

Yes, I only use 26ga too. Haven't been that low in ohms yet. I likes to vape the 20/80 mix and were thinking I could get some problems with the wicking then. But I think I'l give a go in the evening.

 

Good performance here with all the high VG juices I've put in it.

Rebuilt to dual 0.5 ohm, 2.5mm with 26ga. And yes, been running it on a mech only but a very nice vape.

 

I've had it on the iStick at 30w/3.8v vapes nice. I did have it on the SX Mini at 40w without issue but it's made way for the Delta II.
