Best Coil for Magma ?

Not on a Magma but the principal should be the same: I just built a dual coil for my APO with 12 wraps 28 gauge around 1.5 mm for 0.8 ohms.

It works great and is not hot at all even while chain vaping for an hour or more.

 

My Magma clone has internal air holes just under 2mm, with a 0.7ohm dual setup its too hot but great flavor. So do I increase the ohms a little or increase the airflow, which will keep my flavour beter?

 

I agree with debatedude. Increase airflow, it may even cool down the vape a little. I have the air holes open all the way on my RDA.

 

Im at max now as the internal channels are just under 2mm, has anyone solved the problem by drilling out, and if so whats the recomended size. Im using it on a normal mod so around 20-25watts. I can only compare it to my Storm-A which with single air whole open has the same feel but without the heat.

 

I lower the coils, sitting maybe 1mm from the airholes. It is less hot now, still too hot for me but at least I can vape it.

Still full airflow though !

I'm running a single coil 7 wraps 28 guage at 2mm for 1.2 ohms and both air holes wide open it's really nice with little to no heat.

 

I'll try your set up next time
