1. Welcome to Thailand Vapers, an English language forum for members in Thailand and the rest of Asia to talk about vaping.
Commonly referred to as e-cigarettes, vaping is really about the use of personal vaporizers (mods) and atomizers (tanks, clearos, RBAs, RDAs, RTAs) filled with e-liquid.

Worst bit was that I only had a crappy chinese hand-drill so it took a very long time. I also widened the holes in the airflow-control ring and drilled another.

The holes are high up so you can build your coils high and then put a ton of cotton under it comfortably. I do not use that much though.

I tend to use one of those little black delrin driptip adaptors which I think kinda acts like a chamber reducer.

Because the top part of the cap unscrews its easy to drip a lot, exactly where you want it :very good:

There are a few on Ft but this is the one I have: $7.13 Helio Rebuildable Dripping Atomizer - with airflow control ring / stainless steel at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

And these are the delrin bits. Awesome for drippers! $4.01 E-Cigarette Heat Insulation Bases for 510 Drip Tip (5-Pack) 5-pack - black at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

I'll certainly look in to the Delrin Insulators/adaptors. I have a couple but they are low quality. I only saw that helios clone but if there are more I will take another look.

One thing I am finding with below 0.5 ohm coils is that I have to change the cotton/dry burn more often, sometimes every day. I can be vaping happily away and all is fine and then the very next hit taste has gone to hell and back. Still juice in teh wells and cotton wicking fine. I cannot work out why this would be as the coils generally speaking aren't to badly messed up after such a short time. That is why I put it down to cotton. I just dry burn anyway as I am in the already.

Anybody able to shed any light on this?

Possibly burning your juice. Any hot spots will burn your juice, regardless of how well you're wicking. I've found with cotton that once you get that burnt taste, its done, it won't taste right anymore. I would suggest double-checking your coils between changes to make sure they are firing evenly, and possibly increasing your airflow.

It was easy to tell if you had a hotspot back when I was doing mesh and cable coils on an genesis, but with cotton you move the coils just wicking and dewicking, so it makes the process a bit harder. I've got the same problem in one of my Kayfuns right now as well, its only at half a tank and I'm getting that burnt taste. A dry burn and tidying up the coil should put everything right again.

    1. keeps driptip cool
    2. keeps inside of chamber warmer so which warms the vape and (IMO) it somehow compresses the vape and makes it more delicious.

I realise this is not a very scientific answer :not good:

Sorry I confused my self maybe? I already do adjust and check my coils during wick changes. The problem I am getting is after I have been vaping for a while. I can go for basically the whole day and literally I take one draw... perfect….next draw tastes like the ass end of a budgie cage. No adjustments made no juice added or required when I check. nothing. Wick looks clean and there is minimal gunk on the coils. When I check the coils on wick change generally speaking there are no adjustments needed. Just a dry burn and rewick and away I go. As I say this is generally after about 12+ hours of happy happy vaping.

I can only think that the cotton is breaking down after prolonged heat exposure, or as you say the juice is burning.

Oh well. If it continues I will just have to change more regularly. No problem.

Thanks for the advise guys :vaping:

Anyway, if any RDA any of u come across and really like it please do shout out here so we know what is good out there :thank you thank you

PS: i think reptrippers really like the Zenith but he mentioned that "Brass Monkee" is better for the dual coils and Zenith is for a single coil. i cant find any of those in stock anywhere tho

I like drippers that get their air from underneath the coil. Like the Fakirs Troy x, the Yaeliq, and the Eviva, by Armistique.
There are Russian ones too - the Achilles, by Bashik, for one.
There must be a few others too, but no clones that I know of yet.

Oh - I forgot the Magma.

For me, Plume Veil (great vapor, flavor and air flow) followed by Magma (great flavor, juice capacity and very decent air flow).

The Origin you alredy have is a trillion times better then the Storm A so dont bother with it,
the Magma is very very good as well, but comparing the Magma with the Origin i always liked the Origin more

Leading reviewers say best RDAs those days supposed to be the Veritas and the PlumeVeil
my Veritas is still in the mail, and the Plume Veil i didnt gave a shot as well

My personal favorites must be the Storm and Magma. Both gives me grat vape and is so uncomplicated to set up. The Zenith v2 is also very nice.
Been using the Veritas in dual coil 0.8 ohm, and it's good., but I'm not that friendly with this one yet.
The Quasar have hardly been used. The fitting is so tight that all feels misplaced, don't like it to be honest.
The Plume ville will be interesting to try, should be shipping soon I hope.
