1. Welcome to Thailand Vapers, an English language forum for members in Thailand and the rest of Asia to talk about vaping.
Commonly referred to as e-cigarettes, vaping is really about the use of personal vaporizers (mods) and atomizers (tanks, clearos, RBAs, RDAs, RTAs) filled with e-liquid.

Nothing wrong with clones- in my opinion- so, I wouldn't get too worried unless you paid for and expected genuine. Most of us are happily vaping on clones.
    Welcome to the forum, BTW.

How's the kf working out? That's pretty bold starting with making your own coils. I prefer the RDAs though :)

The KF is very good, just that it was bought for me at a store in Amsterdam under the impression that it's a real SvoeMestro and I have my doubts about that.
One of the members here suggested I start with an RBA. I was a bit nervous but he said "If you can roll a 'cigarette' you can build an RBA". I have quite some experience at rolling so I dove in. My first build was pretty crap but I'm getting 1.9 off my second one. Next time I might try inserting cotton thru the coil instead of wrapping wick.

Yeah, that was also fear that hold me back for a very long time, until I finally made the switch from tanks with prebuild coils to first drippers, and now my first Kayfun clone. Had I only knew before that it is duable also for me, it would have made it all so much easier and better. My respect to you Wightlander, for jumping to the rebuildable tanks right away. I'm sure you will enjoy it a lot.

Good for you getting into rebuildables immediately. It's really not that hard, especially nowadays. Kuro coiler. Makes life so much easier. When I started I had to do everything by hand and it takes some practice. And when I started you didn't have alot of choices (it was Ego, a CE4...the best you could move up to was a vivi nova tank and a provari for $200).

In regards to the KF, you should also maybe consider the Kebo Russian 91. Vaporjoes listed a place that had an authentic for around $50. These are not clones. The guy behind Svoemesto (a Russian) originally was going to team up with Kebo to manufacture but instead went off to form Svoemesto and made the Kayfun. Kebo (and one of the guys behind the Kayfun) used the design. A Russian 91 is generally not considered a "clone".

I do believe clones have their purpose, but for stuff I really like I will go for authentic.

    And welcome to Thailandvapers.

So I sent close-up pics to Kayfun and they got back to me right away "Clone 100%"
Also contacted the store in Amsterdam and the guy there said he told my friend it was a clone when it was purchased ...
Oh well - at least it seems to vape ok and newbies gotta pay their dues.
Just a pity my friend had to waste 1/2 a day traipsing through mid winter cold in Amsterdam when I could have bought a clone on-line for $17 ...

I was actually just doing a search while you posted. Not sure if SvoeMesto do any other finish than SS?

    But now you know...
