    Castle from Big Bypass.

Still getting to know it. 1st build was 0.8 dual coil 25AG and frankly was disappointing. Flavor was good but vapor was weak.

Tonight decided to try and quad it. Center-post hole will not take 4x25AG wires so had to use only two wires each with two coils. Meant wrapping two of the coils whilst wire already on atty hence the ugliness. Got it tidied up after using my new ceramic-tipped tweezers

Now it still has the flavor but has a much more respectable amount of vapor.

btw Ryan (and others who may be interested) a non-posting friend told me that he ordered the Stillare clone from Big Bypass. Will be asking him for one for myself on thursday/payday :vaping::vaping::vaping::vaping:

I should think so...19 vs 54 watts of juice-cooking action. .28 ohms seems to be my happy place right now, but I do it on dual coils so I kind of need a shit-ton of airflow for that. Quads is too much work for me, I'll wait until I pick up a dripper meant for it.

Trying out the single wick on my Trident tonight, wicks well but it is definitely cutting back my airflow. I don't think I'll be keeping it.

I think I may agree with this. Have tried it in various drippers and not sure the results merit the labor. The castle was comparatively easy. If I had a drill I would just drill out the center post a bit which would make it much easier.

For sure but I remember being happy at 0.8 once. Maybe I have passed a rubicon with vaping and I have to be <0.5 now. Regardless the Castle is comparatively weak at 0.8 (versus Trident/Helios/Storm-A). It demands low ohms.

I don't want to lose surface area so next time I think twisted 25AG DC.

Also sitting waiting for me to build is an FT Omega dripper. It also looks like it wants to be low resistance

That is a lot of cotton. Do you find if you cover the center-post like that it increases heat through 510 to battery/mod?

Alright so its just me again and this will make a giant post :very good:

Castle clone: The old-fashioned dual twisted 28AG. 0.44 ohms (assume its really about 10% lower on this ohm meter). Securing the wire with screws not post-hole as I did not want to builds a dc on single wire again. Performance 7/10. Think this is a reasonable attty for flavor junkies but nothing special. There is something I do not like about it but I am not sure what.

FT Omega clone: Dual 25AG. O.32 ohmms (again assume a touch lower). First build on this one. Moderately annoying to build on as the lips of the deck are higher than the holes in the posts. Tricky-ish but not too bad to get a second .45mm wire through the center-post. Also tricky to adjust the coils when pulsing. But none of that is too tricky, airhole is huge (and quite low). Definitely a cloud chasing atty. Flavor is nothing special. I have a load of cotton in and am using 70% vg juice so leaking is not too bad. Imagine with my normal 65% PG those big low holes would spunk juice out. Overall build quality is 'FT normal'. Not bad for $6.66

Just build my 3. coil on the kayfun 3.1, came out to 1.3 ohms(used 28 awg kanthal), vapes great at 10 watts on my VTR:

Sry for the bad pictures, the best my webcam can do...

Nice work. I just did the exact same build last night. Also my third kayfun build.

It looks like a lot but it is very, very little cotton. I spread it out a bit to try to get some of my airflow back. I've been pulling my cotton apart until every fiber is spread out and lightly shaping them, which makes it hold a freaking ton of juice.

Anyway, I don't notice any difference in heat transference. Then again, I haven't been vaping it that much due to the restricted airflow. I've been pretty busy so I've been mainly sticking to the Kayfuns for the last few days.

this thread needs a update :very good:

    IMG_6490[1].JPG
So a new dripper is for me on the start, this time a Helios RDA with a Dual Coil, i was pretty lazy with the built, so i just let the Default built inside and shoveled some cotton below it,

    IMG_6491[1].JPG
then putting the foggy top cap on it, and lets vape. I belive that atty would be nice for ryan, cause of the huge air holes it has

... my current RDA setup, most of the tanks are not in use those days :D

My humble contribution to this thread. I watched Rip Trippers tutorial on how to do a micro-coil on a genesis. I liked the genesis in general, but it had problems with flavor (though massive vapor production). Rip suggested a microcoil and using cotton between the mesh and the coil. After I tried it, pretty much fixed the problems I had with the genesis. Great flavor, produces more vapor than any other atty I have. 12-13 wraps of 26 gauge kanthal. genesismicrocoil_zps19fc6580.jpg

Not going to say anything about Rip, although I'm thinking it. Anyway, I was big into the Genesis attys for a long, long time. I find ribbon wire works much better than normal round wire. I don't like using cotton on the wicks because then you can't dry burn them, but I don't have any issues with flavor using ribbon either. I used to use SS rope as well, I find it flows quite a bit more juice than the mesh, but I doubt I'll be doing that again...it is a huge pain in the ass trying to cut the rope and wrap the end with mesh.

I know you weren't asking for any tips, but it is pretty rare these days I get to talk about Genesis attys.

    I will :devilish:

Insincere beardy **** who adds a layer of pretentious waffle to rehashes of coil-builds he sees on the internet as 1) a way to gain viewers and thus sell his juices to idiots and 2) have a nice ego-trip.

Runs a FB group (Juice Junkies) that is a node of stupidity.

Once called his followers 'stupid lemmings' in a private conversation.

Hates on china and pimps expensive USA made stuff but probably hasn't paid for vape gear for a couple of years.

In other news: just ordered Stillare clone from Big. He has 1 left. For those that don't know:
