1. Welcome to Thailand Vapers, an English language forum for members in Thailand and the rest of Asia to talk about vaping.
Commonly referred to as e-cigarettes, vaping is really about the use of personal vaporizers (mods) and atomizers (tanks, clearos, RBAs, RDAs, RTAs) filled with e-liquid.

You can use silica with microcoils - I do. Just fold it double, hook some thin Kanthal through the 'U', feed the wire through the microcoil & pull through.
You have to support the microcoil with two fingernails, and need to choose the thickness of the silica to fit.
I really like silica, and get all my rebuilding supplies from Germany, from Zivipf. High prices, but the best quality.

Just received my FT purchase of 100 silica wicked coils. I love them. I've tried making the coils and wicking them with cotton. Even tried wicking a coil made by VM with cotton. Not once could I get a satisfying result. Now all I have to do is attach the coil and wick to the Kayfun, trim and position the wick and I'm good to go with fantastic vapes. Attaching the coil is no more or less of a pain than attaching a coil I've made and that's a process I'm still refining, but at least I get a great vape for the effort.
