Additionally to your headache. The Kanger OCC atomizer heads are not dismantle-able anymore without damage The top can't be removed now. They are having only a lifespan that equals about half of the (much smaller) Joyetech heads.I get in between 3400 - 3700 puffs out of them. The Kangers give up quite punctual shy of 1700 puffs. When I took one appart nothing looks wrong with it.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again, it's certainly not Rocket Science. To be honest, I've just returned to trying Aspire BVC coils and Kanger SSOCC coils, and its definitely given me more time for other things in life ( I had a ritual rewicking, maybe recoiling, session at least once, if not twice, a week before) but, if you've got the time it's a fun thing to do.

If you want big clouds go to a dripper. The right dripper and set up will beat a frank for colds any day. However if you like flavour as well you need to get a tank that is not JUST for clouds as the massive airflow will mute the flavour.
    **Updated**
And I forgot you will also need to go to thicker gauge wire such as 22g and bigger. 24g and thinner will give you respectable cloudds as well but not real cloud chasing fog.

I have had the Subox mini for about 3 weeks now and was very annoyed by the spitting from both the RBA & 0.5ohm RBA.
After viewing numerous different methods on Youtube and experimentation I looked closely at the 1.2 OCC and used it as a guide.
The result is a 0.67ohm coil with 26AWG Kanthal & 2.5mm inside diameter. The big difference is it is a VERTICAL coil.

So, you built a vertical coil, dimensions etc as you say, in the Kanger Subtank RBA? If so, that's pretty cool,I reckon.

My 0.5 and 1.2 included in the set are VOCC, and I still get a little spitting. What I found, is, was, suck harder, or turn the wattage down a little.

My first coil was 26g, 2.5mm horizontal, 5 wraps. I found that spacing the coil wraps out like the ones included with the RBA helped too, as suggested by @Longtail1

Thanks for info on vertical coil, it's my next mini project, already have the 26g wire and the tool for 2.5mm, might try 3mm if it'll fit. Good to know it's possible :)

Just wondering how you do the wicking on a vertical in the Kanger RBA deck? The juice holes are set up for horizontal feed, no?

Crown is certainly a popular tank, with a choice of stock coils and a seperate RBA deck that can be purchased-another alternative is the SMOK TVF4, which has an even wider choice of stock coils and comes with the RBA deck; and yet another option is the Ephro Morph Tank, which has an RBA deck plus various 'attachments' allowing it to be used with several other stock coils. Out of all these 3, and speaking purely about the RBA decks for each one--I have had good results from both the Morph and the SMOK tanks, less so with the RBA for the Crown.
