I have the stillare, which is usually presented as very good dripper... but I have not been able to use it satisfactory yet: build sub Ohm double coil, but it is so strong flavor that it is impossible for me to vape ! Probably did something wrong, or maybe the drippers are not for me...

My double coil is at 0.6 Ohm, how many watt would you advise ?

Ive just added 2 Origins to my all day use, similar to my Storm As I use them both with horizontal coil builds, at 0.5ohm in front of the air intakes so there wicking each side the same. The Origen works out as the best one as it has a single well and holds 30 drops from a 30ml short tip. There both reall cheep clones, really easy to build when you get the hang of it.

Oops... me again... reading this thread gave me the need to try one more time, and I finally found what was wrong! Usually, I don't like airy tanks so I am used to reduce the air flow to the minimum on my clearos. I was doing the same with the stillare and in fact, the taste was too strong with a kind of burn flavor cause there was no air passing through! I have now fully opened the air flow and can start to enjoy dripping :)

    Salut Axel

I have the Stillare as well, running it with a .3ohms build on dual coil. Make sure you airless are right in front of your coils. I advise the Big Chuff drip tip, works like a charm on it.

I vape it at 50Watts with the iVP2, but at that wattage you need to take "powerful"/fast inhale.

Also, whilst I vape 6mg juice on RTA, most of them are too strong for me once I put them on dippers. So if you have a lower nic juice OR a higher VG juice, try it, it will be much easier to vape.

I check 3Avape's site from time to time but looking just now I see he has the Infinite Plume Veil. Been looking for a decent one, the ones on FT have been slaughtered for the most part in the discussions.

I'll be bagging this one later

I tried to re-coil my Veritas again last night. This time with Kanthal 30 in a dual configuration for about 1 Ohm. After 2 hours I gave up, emptied the vodka, dressed my wounds, tended my blood shot eyes and had a fitful night of nightmares about high voltage shocks to my nether regions.

Anyone want to buy an almost new Veritas? PM me.

Not surprised you found 30 ga a pain for dual coil in the Veritas. :( Do you have any heavier gauge wire? I have used only 28, 27, and 26 ga for dual coil and all worked out well. Most recently I changed to a horizontal coil 27 ga @ 0.5 ohm and it's working good as well. Have you tried horizontal? Another advantage is that it is easier to wick.

Voltage shocks to the nethers - AIYAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the suggestion Scratchy. I have 26 ga and will try that tonight. I did a single horizontal coil before and it worked OK to a fashion but I needed more in terms of flavour. I'm under the impression that dual coils will give me that option but I may be wrong. I don't know. Are your coils squeezed or loose like in the video you posted before under another thread?

I did loose/spaced coils using the method in the video but that was with heavier gauge which made the coil stay in pace better than 30 ga would when putting wicking through it. Still, I had to be careful when doing so and after initially threading I used small pointed tweezers to pull the bottom point of the wick down through the bottom of the coil and repeated the pulling down and taking what was pulled down and pulling over to the side to make room for more to pull down. Did that until I knew I had enough to sit on bottom of the wells. One or more times I took a small flathead screwdriver to adjust some of the spacing in the coils after they distorted some...that was probably with 28 ga. Also, if the coil is too long top to bottom it could make that threading and pulling process frustrating as the bottom of the coil can be so far down that it is hard to use the tweezers to pull wick through.

I also did squeezed/contact coils using that video method and it worked out well. When doing that it was helpful to estimate where that squeezed coil would end up when tilting it downwards and in place. Had to adjust them up or down on a couple builds. Now I kinda have down where to start my first coil wind.

You can get really nice flavor out of a single, low-ohm coil on the Veritas. Usually I do like dual coil for more vapor production and what I feel can be a bump up in flavor but sometimes single coil can be close enough for my tastes and it's a faster build. I did single coil horizontal in my Veritas for meeting some other members last night because I wanted to be able to quickly change wicking if I needed to. If doing the same you might want to go with the 26 ga as well so you can have more wraps and cover more surface area. You can also try a larger diameter id of coil as well.

    Couple other vids:

Hope my suggestions actually are helpful! It's a great flavor producing RDA. :)

My own opinion is that the Plume is actually a little better with flavor but doesn't have the capacity of the Veritas and unlike the basically leak resistant Veritas, can weep juice out of side airholes if you drip even a little bit too much. I can definitely see where some would say the Veritas is better for those reasons. :)

Anyone bought the veritas from fasttech? Seems like there are a few issues with their model (insulator and center pin...)
