I just read the best comparison between an authentic Erlkönigin and the clone version from, I think, FastTech on ECF, thread The Erlkönigin : Pictorial, page 471, post #4702...

I also bought two clones because they are so cheap...but maybe I will reconsider and buy two more originals...I will give the clones a fair chance though and will see if I can be happy with them...

Hi, Konvict. There are different clones so the summary of differences is not really accurate....about 80% inaccurate based on what I have here. For example, and in difference to what the poster summarized: The Cigreen clone has steel drip tip (FT has plastic), has serial number on chimney (FT does not), both have no issues I see with fill hole alignment though the FT could spin past more easily, cigreen has no issues with fill hole washers being loose (the FT does), both clone models can be disassembled pretty easily, wick channel edges don't seem to be very sharp on either clones, chimney threading pretty smooth and cigreen's the smoother of the two (BTW, I have an authentic Kayfun that has crunchier threading, not bad, than the Erlk clones) and finally no recurring dry hits with my clones. I think I had a couple one evening and none before or since.

Finally, if they say the clones are quieter than the original, I would not buy the original for that reason alone! The cigreen in particular is a bit noisy.

Just wanted to share because that summary is based on only one clone model and then too may have been an early production run of it or a bad copy.

Scratchy, if Inhad to get one, will you recommend the clone, knowing I like to purchase locally when possible ?

Hey-a Tibo. I have no doubts that the original has tighter tolerances and finishing but I would go for the clone and save money. If the Cigreen version was not as loud as I find it, that would be my best recommendation but a trade-off because in some ways it's better than the silver boxed Fasttech version. I read somewhere you can dampen the sound some by taking out the AFC control at the bottom and placing in some cotton in areas where the air flow would not be restricted. I'll try that after returning from Phuket. :)

In case you didn't catch it before, Big had the cigreen version come in yesterday. Not sure how many in stock now.

Filled her to the brim for the first time yesterday and she squirted a little, I wasn't gentle though and forced my juice inside her. She doesn't like it rough it seems.
Today I tried again, I closed the airflow, not sure if that made any difference, and slowly pumped my juice inside her. No leaking.

I did notice I was getting dry hits when taking long hits so I emptied 20% of it.
The other night I had been happily vaping it, put it on the side, woke up in the morning, completely different vape. Maybe a night of aircon made a difference?

First one I bought was this model from FT (aka silver box) that I have written about previously: $20.75 Erlkonigin Style Rebuildable Tank Atomizer (8ml) - stainless steel + PMMA tank / 20.7mm dia. at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

After I broke the plastic tank on the above model I bought two from Big that are made by Cigreen. I also wrote about that in other threads. http://www.thailandvapers.com/threads/erlkonigin-rba-clone-sold-out.8213/

I have one more coming from FT that I ordered prior to breaking my first model. It is: $22.83 Erlkonigin Style Rebuildable Tank Atomizer (8ml) - stainless steel + PMMA tank & SS tank / 20.7mm dia. at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

Variations on a basic theme -

A new clone arrived today. A Yi Loong purchased from ironvapin on ebay. About 36 bucks plus the usual outrageous shipping cost from USofA. It's the one on the left.

Whilst the other two, a Cigreen and a no name are quite delicate, much like the original, this one presents itself more like a bouncer at an Adelaide night club. Thick - & chunky...

You will first notice the height difference. This one has a much beefier top cap which substantially increases the overall height and weight. Much heavier than the others!

Comes with a ridged drip tip, which is nice. Also a drip tip adapter and a very chunky SS tank with logo. And if you look at the next pic, yes folks, that is an adjustable 510 screw.
Also of note is the longer 510 threading.
Unlike the others, this one fires on the Provari with no problems. So that's a big plus.

Vapes like a dream and not a hint of leaking - yet.....Filled it up full straight off and no gurgling of any kind. Smooth, flavorful vape. Easily much better initial vaping experience compared to the Cigreen, which is my least favorite of the three so far. Not that it's bad - the other ones give me a better experience so far.

You can see here the overall different character and bulk compared to the others.
Some will prefer the lighter character of the others for sure.

    Enjoy!

What is the diameter of this one? I really looks more solid.

How is the filling working on this one? Any problems with o-rings that fall out on the top cap?

    Thanks...it actually looks interesting!

I would say it's 22mm. Here it is on the Provari for reference. I think the others are 20mm.

Filling is spot on with no issues. Nice clear holes. Top cap twist is clockwise to open for filling. O-rings stay put so far. Unlike the other one.

I haven't checked the size of the top orings yet. I hope they're the same as the others, as I've just ordered a hundred of the little suckers......
