1. Welcome to Thailand Vapers, an English language forum for members in Thailand and the rest of Asia to talk about vaping.
Commonly referred to as e-cigarettes, vaping is really about the use of personal vaporizers (mods) and atomizers (tanks, clearos, RBAs, RDAs, RTAs) filled with e-liquid.
Are you looking to get started or an old hand at vaping? Everyone is welcome here so sign up today and talk vaping with us!

Id shoot him off a message at his email,he seems to answer rather swiftly .Looking at that list in the other thread it seems he has revised it somewhat .He now has tobacco type flavours ,and has something called Up To You ,which you can make your own flavours up.

The notion to quit smoking should precede the action of trying vaping. I only tried vaping because I was sick of the lack of stamina, fowl taste, bad smell in my office, afraid of smoking after reading various articles, embarrassed of becoming a social outcast, bored of going outside to smoke when at home etc etc. When my brain was saturated with all these fowl things, did I start looking for alternatives. Then I found vaping, which was a substitute to smoking only for the first few months. Later it became a hobby. So unless you HAVE a desire to quit smoking, no aides will help you. But it's okay you tried, and learnt a lesson :)

I can honestly say I did not want to quit. I was driven to try vaping because I knew I needed to quit. The reason vaping worked for me was I started with something that was similar to the analog experience. The little eGo-Cs reminded me a lot of my early experimenting with Tiparillo and Swisher Sweet cigars, which ultimately lead me to smoking cigarettes. That, the throat hit and the nic fix was enough for me to make the transition.

Everyone is different and I'm not suggesting things would have played out any different with you friend, but I doubt I would have made the switch had I started with an MVP. Even now I prefer vaping off of something more delicate.

This may seem strange, but I felt compelled to post something here because you started this thread on the day I quit. And today my new MVP arrived in the mail.

I applaud you for your effort and look forward to the day when I have an opportunity to try and help someone make the switch.

    :bravo:

Because I know I can not keep doing this to myself any longer. As much as I truly enjoy smoking its taking its toll. 60 is just around the corner and I'm not ready to leave yet. :)

In simple language that is called a WANT, I don't "want" to do it as it is harmful to me. Considering my age (60 is around the corner) I "should" stop smoking. Nothing forced you to stop smoking, you wanted to quit due to many factors and you did. And you stopped or started WANTing to stop smoking. The urge (notion) came from within you. Now if you NEVER had the 'want' to quit smoking because you don't care to live or just simply are not bothered about your health, IF some one had handed you a sweet looking thing like the eGo-C, would you have bothered? NOPE my friend :)

I understand your points, and perhaps its just semantics, but I think I would put it a different way...

The motivation has to be there.
