Can you confirm that your aerotank's pin was flush or pushed in when this happened? Did you happen to take a look at the pin on that particular tank? Did you push the pin out in the past, as was discussed on previous threads? Sorry to nag with so many questions, but I'm really curious.

never attempted to push it in or out before ...

didn't really notice how it was when the burn-out happened Smithy, sorry ...

just took it off an eGo I put it on today, and it looks ever so slightly pushed in and not completely flush - however, the connector pin of the eGo could've pushed it in a tad ... so, really can't tell on that or not to tell the truth, would only be guessing ...

That's almost certainly the older, larger sized 510 connection. What happens is that with some devices you put on it, or if it is not well-aligned, it can create a short because the positive and negative connections can end up touching. Also, some reports the older connector is not very well secured and can be driven deeper inside the box and create a short or see an electrical problem. I would think that's only going to happen with over-tightening and maybe also with devices sitting on top that have longer 510 pins. Yours looks well-centered so that's good. The chances you have in having a problem specifically with that connector are very small, especially if you do not tighten and take care and caution with it. Oh and some have reported that Kanger devices like the aerotanks and makybe also protanks, because of their 510 pins, may be more problematic.

If you want more info google something maybe like "cloupor 510 short" "cana mod 510 connector", "Hana clone 510"....things like that.

yes mate, I'm using my Kayfun & Nautilus on the same older version you have (V2 with the larger diameter pin) and no probs ... just make sure the connector pin on yr tanks are protruding a little and not flush.

Quite clear now the problem was with the Aerotanks ...

Yeah looking very much like you had a "textbook" aerotank issue, Buzz. That puts my mind at ease a bit. Still a bit wary of these now tho.

Petitoises, I've used drippers and a kayfun on mine all day every day for at least month now and no probs so far. Always make sure your attys center pin sticks out. Especially on the kayfun (mine is almost flush).

Hey BuzzSamui, I'm really happy for you that Cloupor is honoring the warranty on your Hana DNA30. Your problem was a whole lot more scarry than mine and Micky certainly went to bat for you which is great.

Seeing the quick response and resolution of your problem by Cloupor gave me an incentive to give it another shot regarding my own DNA30. I logged onto their website and hit the online chat button and explained my dissatisfaction with an online service rep. It sounds very positive so far and she ended with this message: "you are welcome, the sales will help you solve this problem asap, please pay attention to your email box. Thanks."

Like you, I'm keeping my fingers crossed. :cheers2:

    @ Buzz ..

you cant Damage your Device / thread 510 Connection because you have that little thing between.. If some shit happen than its just the Adapter and not your Device ..

Sample : The German Shops recommend to use that on Vamo Mods cause of the shit thread ! Its just some Idea for that Hana Mod ..and right now i just saw that in a German online Store ! May you try to Google it
