Hana DNA30 clone - scary burn out !

I'm still undecided, but Micky emailed and said he's been using his Mega on his V2 (old larger connector pin) and no probs ... so i don't know just yet.


It (V3) definitely feels better in the hand - not so smooth and yr right, no fingerprints etc...

* btw, I asked Micky if this new stock he has have an improved/upgraded chip, and he said he is not sure

 

Just an update on mine, yesterday I was chain vaping at 15 watts with the kanger Aerotank Mega and a 1.5ohms coil. Things were peeeeerfect.

I charged the Hana during the night without the clearo on it. Today, after installing the clearo, same coil, the message "Shorted" appears on the screen.

That is when I tight the clearo all the way down, like I did yesterday. But if I unscrew le clearo by half a turn, the Hana is firing.

Something I should be careful about guys ?

I'd definitely be careful with that.

When you say the Hana is firing, the aerotank is also producing vapor, correct?

Most, if not all, of the "burn outs" that I've read about were all caused by the aerotanks shorting out. It happens when the threads that surround the aerotank's center pin touch the connector pin of the hana clone (you probably already know all about that). Sounds like you're tightening it down far enough that those threads are making contact, and you're getting the "shorted" message. Then when you unscrew it slightly, the pin's are touching (as they should be), but the threads are no longer making contact, and so everything is functioning normally.

If that is indeed what is happening, then:

a. the new 510 pin that ships on the new version of the hana clone may still be too wide for some attys, such as your aerotank

b. the new hana clone version may have been updated to detect this shorting issue that was causing burn outs, which would be great news.

Right or wrong, that's my take on it. Personally, I'd be a bit wary of using the aerotank on the hana clone, new version or not. Seems to be a lot of love for the aerotanks around here. You guys do know that other attys exist right? (poot leen na)

 

Ok guys, sawing that this is the Main Hana isues tread, i observe for a couple of days something strange happening in my one. Like i say, i only use RDA or RTA in my clone. Few times, with my mod in the table, i see how the screen switch ON alone (i think it not fires, because if it happen without atomizer, not say checking resistance) after, it switch off alone again. It looks like i press one time the On button. Anyone also with this issue?

Happens on mine also (version 1). Really common issue. Happens with and without attys attached. It doesn't fire, just starts the screen. Not sure if it's fixed in the latest version - what version is yours?

It's a really common issue with the v1. Not sure about the other versions. I don't know know if it's dangerous or not. Mine does it and has been fine so far (2-3 months)

 

I would recommend wearing gloves also while using it

 

What I don't get is why it did not happen the first day.

The Hana is working fine, firing when asked, great vapor etc..

I checked the clearo, clean the threads, changed the coil etc.. Same.

Awesome vaping with it, what a step up from the MVP !

But now I am affraid it will blow in my face (

I should get the Russian asap than ^^

**UPDATE 6/4/14 @ 4:19AM EST: KANGER AEROTANK ISSUE HAS BEEN FIXED! The kanger megas come with a pin that is pushed in very far. You need to remove the base of the aerotank and push the pin out a LITTLE more so that it can make contact with the cana mod.

I'll try to do that later on. At least we know it is a well known issue !

So that the method works ? (before I destroy my aerotank ^^)
