Yes you will reduce the power by increasing the ohms of the coil and get an cooler thiner vape, but Im not sure whats available for the One Mini. You will also increase battery life.

Thanks Mack, that gives me hope. I've got some Kanthal no30 wire, but what I don't know is what gauge the original wire in the CLR atomiser is.

Should I be hoping that my wire is thicker or thinner than the stock wire?

And if we assume it turns out to be the same, should I make my coil have more turns or less turns in order to make it higher ohm?

It took me a little time to get used to the tank airflow as I normally use Nautilus tanks but by slowing down my draw it stopped the vape being hot.

Have a look at this vid (from 7:30min on re the coil size)...camera is out of focus most of the time but it tells you what's what mate

And one of the comments off that vid...

I never did understand how these type of coil heads used to be thought of as non rebuildable, like the Original EVODs and even the latest Subtanks. The methods the same for all and the easiest way to rebuild without screws.

For me, I thought that the slower I draw the hotter it gets - will have to try again..

After a couple of days things seem to be a bit less hot - the coil's got some gunk on it - maybe it's a bit less efficient and effectively giving me fewer watts? If so, maybe I've half-solved my problem :)

Thanks for the excellent video and comment - hadn't seem them before. I think I'm beginning to understand it a bit more. Still not sure what gauge the stock wire is, but it sounds like it might be 28-ish so maybe my 30 gauge wire will do the job, especially if I can fit in an extra turn or two.
