1. Welcome to Thailand Vapers, an English language forum for members in Thailand and the rest of Asia to talk about vaping.
Commonly referred to as e-cigarettes, vaping is really about the use of personal vaporizers (mods) and atomizers (tanks, clearos, RBAs, RDAs, RTAs) filled with e-liquid.

What brand of juice are you currently vaping and do you know it's ratio of PG/VG? You'll find it a lot smoother and less harsh on your throat with a higher VG juice. Also being only 3 weeks vaping and starting with a sub-ohm tank like the Delta II is a bit too much for a newbie. You'd be much better served to get yourself a Nautilus regular or mini. :vaping: :vaping:

I prefer a very smooth vape with no throat hit, and I know other people are different.

Personally I really like Vapor Mist and find his juice to be really smooth. I like the taste but that is obviously more subjective. I find his 50/50 to not give me a throat hit (I vaped at 6mg highest though, I prefer to vape more at a lower nic), but he also offers a high VG blend as well. Just search "vapor mist" on Facebook and tell him you heard about him here.

I really like VM's flavors, but McJuice is also popular with people here and he has a wider selection of flavors, plus I found his juice to be pretty smooth as well. He is worth a try if you haven't yet, but he is out of town until the 25th I believe.

I am allergic to a high PG ratio, the higher the PG, the more throat hit you will get.

IF I vaped 50%PG & 50%VG, I would get red blotches on my face.. so I now vape 30%PG 70% VG,
It is a more smoother vape, and no more red blotches.

For any newbie, I'd recommend a high nic mg, to start ie 18mg. then lower the mg. to find your 'sweet spot'.

I first started on 18mg, to cure the cravings, then after time I went from 18mg, to 12mg then 6mg..

I think you're right that higher PG gives a stronger throat hit. However, I think there's other ways of getting a throat hit like higher nicotine. I am not familiar with the ingredients, but I thought there were other options for getting a strong throat hit.

Does anyone know if there is a correlation between throat hit and Resistance and/or Power?
I vaped a Sub-Ohm Mech Mod with 6 mg Nicotine Juice once, and the Hit almost killed me, and made me continue to smoke cigarettes instead for a few more month, until I gave it another, more successful try.

Agree with PattsVaper. Using a Delta 2 on an istick 50 is going to create a much larger throat hit than normal. It is primarily designed for lung hits. When I use mine I vape 3mg normally.

You may want to get something a bit simpler to start with like a Nautilus mini or similar and Vape something like 18 mg at around 8-10 watts. This would mean doing a Mouth to lung ht much more like smoking a regular tobacco cigarette and will mean the experience is more like your throat is used to. The Kit you have is very good but it is designed for someone who is more experienced. Fortunately the Istick 50 can take both types of tank.

Either way keep at it as after 30 months of Vaping I have now been told my lungs are excellent. That's after 34 years of heavy smoking.

Yes there is. The power you put into it, as well as the air flow, changes the experience immensely. See my note above.

I usually recommend something like the Nautilus Mini vaped at 8-10 watts with a standard 1.6 or 1.8 coil. Sub-Ohming is a very different thing and most Sub-Ohmers use very low Nic content with a lot more power. Airflow, Juice composition, coil build and materials and a few other things are also extremely important to help ensure you don't get dry hits at the higher wattage.
