1. Welcome to Thailand Vapers, an English language forum for members in Thailand and the rest of Asia to talk about vaping.
Commonly referred to as e-cigarettes, vaping is really about the use of personal vaporizers (mods) and atomizers (tanks, clearos, RBAs, RDAs, RTAs) filled with e-liquid.

I Think the one I got is a dud. The Battery is dieing very fast. The other things are the voltage and watts.

The most I can get is 5 on one and 2.1 on the other, Im not sure which is which as both letters look like a U.

    :not good:

    Variable Voltage:
voltage can be adjusted from 3.3 – 5.0 volts in .1 volt increments.

    Variable Wattage:
Wattage can be adjusted from 6.0 – 11.0 W in .5 watts increments.

How long is the battery lasting? What's your coil resistance and at what power are you vaping? The battery in the iTaste VV V3.0 is only 800 mAh, which is roughly equivalent to an 18350 battery in a ProVari Mini. I can drain one of those in about 2 hours if I'm chain vaping at 10-12 watts on a Nautilus 1.8 ohm coil, so if you're running in the same range, that would be about normal...YMMV.

Switching between VV & VW is as follows (from the User Manual with my annotations):

VV - Hold the “-” button first and then holding “Fire” (On/Off) button for two seconds to enter variable voltage mode. The digital screen will show the puff count first, then the last setting used (in voltage or wattage). Voltage can be adjusted from 3.3 to 5.0 volts in 0.1 volt increments by pressing the “+” and “-” button. You'll know you're in VV mode because there's a "U" showing (probably intended to be a "V") on the digital screen to the left of the number for "Volts".

VW - Hold the “+” button first and then holding “Fire” (On/Off) button for two seconds to enter variable wattage mode. The digital screen will show the puff count first , then the last setting used (in voltage or wattage). Wattage can be adjusted from 6.0W to 11.0W in 0.5 watts increments by pressing the “+” and “-” button. You'll know you're in VW mode because there's a "P" showing on the digital screen to the left of the number for "Power".

Ohms Meter & Battery Level Indicator & Puff Counter
Hold both the “+” and “-” buttons simultaneously for 2 seconds. The screen will show a series of readings, the first being the resistance of the attached load, the second being the battery voltage ("U"), the third being the number of puffs since the device was last turned off and the fourth being the last set voltage or wattage ("U" of "P"). If there's no not load is attached the display with show “NON”.

    Thanks again SD.

I have tried all of the above, all I can get is the puff counter and volts.

The time the battery last is hard to judge because I change to the EGo sometimes for a different flavor. I am doing a test on the puff counter to see how long the battery last.

    Cheers

Hmmm, never counted puffs before to be honest...how long did it take you to rack up 180? What power are you vaping at and what's the coil resistance, too?

Using the two about 5 hours. That is why I used the puff counter.

    Cheers

That sounds about right for an 800 mAh battery. When I'm working here at the house, I go through a 700 mAh battery in my ProVari Mini in somewhere between 2-4 hours so you're in the right ballpark.

I'll break out my iTaste VV in the next day or so and do a test to see how long it lasts as a comparison.

SD is, as usual, spot on with his advice.

    Time for a new mod.

I got a Vaporshark rDNA from ecighealthy a week ago and its a fantastic bit of kit. Its super simple to operate and it packs power. Its also produces a nice smooth but throaty vape.

The battery that ships with it is incredibly long lasting and I can vape the whole day at work, get home and the battery indicater would just-just have gone down by a lil nick.

I suspect I could possibly vape 2 days without charging.

Its around B8000 but as many members would tell you.... buy the best you can afford.

Even some of the medium level kit is questionable. I had an Evic Supreme @ B3000 bought just over a month ago. dropped it a couple of times and its now totally unreliable... sometimes firing... but mostly not, giving me all kinds of different error messages.

Do your homework, save up some bucks and get something decent.

I am now at a place where I dont really give a shite about what I spend.

I desire quality and that always come at a price.

I was in the Ecig Vapeshop about to buy a B3000 Smok (?) when a fellow customer (from Indonesia) advised against it, saying "this is going to cost you another B 3000 a few months down the line - Buy the rDNA its actually cheaper than this"

    How right he was!

I second that notion...the VS rDNA is a fantastic bit of kit. I love mine and highly recommend it. VS is now shipping them with the Panasonic NCR18650B (3400 mAh) that will last even longer. However, as VS notes on their website, if you like to vape below 1 ohm, you'll need a battery with a higher amp limit (and make sure you put the battery in with the positive side to the bottom or you'll fry the circuit board).
