Something else to remember is that coils take a bit of time to bed-in...on the Nault tanks that can tank about 1 or 2ml of juice depending on the juice.

The Kanger is a true sub-ohm tank with lots of airflow (and juice flow)...whereas the eGo tank does a lot more. To get the same taste from the eGo start at 20W and slowly work your way up until you hit the sweet spot

Joyetech recommend 20W-30W for that 0.5ohm coil head

I doubt it was caramelizing...it was a new coil. The taste I get just after changing a coil is a muted taste...takes awhile for the wick to bed into the coil is my guess. The thicker the juice the longer it seems to take...?

Ah - didn't notice it was a new coil (the burnt taste must be some sort of clue to its cause).

Wish the the taste I get was just muted - can't describe it but it's not very pleasant.

When you put a new coil in you're meant to start at a lower wattage and slowly increase it to the normal running wattage...on a Nault I start off at about 9w and slowly push it up to 12w

I just start with a half-second pulse and increase the duration from there - similar effect I imagine (I'm only at 14w).

Would have thought so...but try a lower wattage first and see if that helps...???

Hmm I suspect I have tried that in the past - the odd thing is I never used to have this problem, so maybe that's what I was doing...

What are you running them at? I believe the newer ones can run quite a bit higher than the old ones depending on the PG/VG ratio
