The 0.5 is hotter and produces thicker vapor, but the 1.2 ohm is performing very well actually, on par with a well wicked KF but with a better airflow.

So the vapour production isn't as thick and on par as the 0.5 ohm coil then?

No but that does make sense, I use it on an iStick when I'm out and of course it doesn't allow anything below 0.9 :)

just re-filled my 7th tank with the original .5 ohm coil still in it (using only DSin) ... thought it was going off after the 6th 'cause I got a couple of strange hits, but it still seems to be fine ...

(waiting till the .5 ohm dies before trying the 1.2 ohm)

don't know what wattage, as I've been using the Atlantis sub-ohm batt

around 4.0 volts for the 1.2 on the iStick mini, 15W on my cana box mod, that seems to be the sweet spot.

I just checked and Like lotd, I am also at 15W and agree that as expected with a higher ohm coil and without pushing the watts to an extreme, the vape is cooler and wont put out the same amount and density as the .5 coil.

I just tried with the 1.2 ohm coil..
    Worked ok..

What I decided to do was take out the cotton on the 1.2 ohm coil to see how easy it was..
    Not that easy.
The cotton is bulged up on both sides inside the head
So it was a pain in the ass to get out, but with tweezers and a tooth pic i got it out, but i nearly damaged the coil
I put through some cotton but then i got a burnt taste, i think my cotton was not tight enough..

I just re did it tightly with some ryaon see how that works..
Giving it a minute or so to soak up...
    Back soon,..

Indeed to put the good amount of cotton is a pain, too tight ot too much cotton and it won't wick properly and too low cotton and your tank will leak, took me several wicks to get the correct amount.

At least with the rayon it may be difficult getting that balance of enough in the coil and not having too much in the wick holes. If it's too tight in the holes it probably won't be able to draw juice through there well enough to keep up. Once my 1.2 hits the end I will be trying out re-wicking and expect already that I will have the reduce the amount in the tails just as I always do with my other attys. However, it will probably be some trial and error...hopefully not too much error as it may make me want to just keep going with the stock coils.

I have been looking at this kanger tank, but it seems that the coils are difficult to find? 2 places I buy from only have the tank.

FT has 5 packs. But it's the 0.5 ohm ones.

Incidentally, on the subject of rewicking the pre-built coils-in the video that I saw it was implied that getting the original coil out was a non-starter, and scrapping was normal. He just built a micro coil and fitted it in-then wicked it through the side holes.
