1. Welcome to Thailand Vapers, an English language forum for members in Thailand and the rest of Asia to talk about vaping.
Commonly referred to as e-cigarettes, vaping is really about the use of personal vaporizers (mods) and atomizers (tanks, clearos, RBAs, RDAs, RTAs) filled with e-liquid.
Are you looking to get started or an old hand at vaping? Everyone is welcome here so sign up today and talk vaping with us!

    I don't quite understand.

A mechanical mod can supply 4.2 Volts max. My vv/vw mod can supply much more Voltage, up to 9.5 Volts.
Acceleration in a car depends on the power of the engine, similarly, ramping up speed to working temperature, depends on power supplied to the coil.
    Power is calculated as VxV/R.

My Yihi board does not use PWM (switching the battery on and off). It uses a DC to DC step up converter to get the higher voltages.
Technically, it uses a buck boost/boost converter, according to Yihi website. Yihiecigar SX350, Upgradable chip

Buck boost converters use PWM to turn them on and off. So all mods are PWM, only its as a control signal and not the output voltage, which is smoothed out with the use of an inductor and capacitor.
