MT Baker Juice just got to me

Just an update for those asking about shipping times:

Mount Baker Vapor : Ordered 16/10/13 Received 25/10/13.
HALO: Ordered 16/10/13 Received 28/10/13.
Good Life Vapor: Ordered 16/10/13 Received 2/11/13.

 

Today I received my Mt. Baker order, placed on the second of November. 12 days from order to delivery, however I didn't get a free sample included in my order. I've sent their customer service a message, hopefully it was just an oversight and not a change in policy.

 

On their website it says that "International orders do not get freebies (Sometimes it does happen though)" I got freebies on my last two orders with them. I have an MBV order in the mail at the moment. I really hope I get a freebie with it (fingers crossed)!

I hadn't seen that on the website before, although that is pretty much what they said. Not sure when they added that disclaimer. Here is their response:

"That does not pertain to international orders. Since they pass through customs and we have no way to put a freebie on the invoice, it has caused issues when getting through customs and you are much more likely to get an order that does not have a freebie in it. It was kind of a trial and error method to figure that out though. Had this been a domestic order yes it would have had a freebie included."

 

I ordered on 2nd November and my order still hasn't arrived!
And a friend just told me that they are flying to Thailand from USA on Monday and there isn't enough time to get a huge 236 ml order to his house.

Barely 2 weeks, I wouldn't get too excited just yet. Did you order 236ml? I'd be interested in hearing if that makes it through customs or not.

My order consisted of one 236ml bottle, 2 50ml bottles, and 3 15ml bottles. Made it through fine, although I had to pay 7 baht for customs. Yes, seven baht.

 

Mine came through today. At first I had a feeling of elation all the way home from the post office.

Ordered on 2nd November, left LA on 7th and arrived on 15th. I was starting to get worried.

I tried the cinnamon roll first and it was nearly as good as I had expected. It tastes like a cinnamon roll without much cinnamon. Would steeping help?

Unfortunately is it went downhill form there.

Butterscotch: not much taste.

555: made me want to be sick. Maybe it tastes like tobacco and I've completely gone off the taste, I'm not sure.

Wild Cherry: Smells really nice, but has too much of a chemical taste and after taste to it

Bloo Moo: Again, tastes of berries but the flavour is like cheap Chinese juice

Berry Creamy: Berry, yes, but not very creamy.

Menthol: Lovely menthol hit, but after a few vapes there is an after taste which I don't quite like

Solar Flare (Thanks Red HotChili) and menthol... quite a nice mix of citus and menthol.. will be good to vape in the morning.

USA Mix: Don't have the courage to taste it because I think it will taste like 555

FREE Rainbow Sherbet: Tastes like sherbet, but I think it needs steeping.

Has anyone else ordered these and had the same disappointing experience?

How much is steeping going to help?

 

I got Cinnamon Roll and it tastes great, tons of cinnamon. However, I got 50/50 with 4 extra shots. Remember, the juice is made fresh. I would definitely steep, shaking them vigorously every few days, for at least 2 weeks. I always steep now, and everything I have done it to has ended up tasting better. Keep in mind, they say fruity flavors usually don't need much steep time, but tobacco flavors usually need a few weeks.

 

Shaking vigourously with the lid on for two weeks or shake every few days and leave the lid off?

Leave the lid off. I just use my finger, but a lot of people put the cap and dropper back on to do it. I'll taste them every few days in my dripper, and when I'm happy with the taste I'll close them back up. When I started reading your descriptions again, everything sounds like steeping issues, so I think you'll be pretty happy once they sit for a while.
