i cant seem to get it so it finished off a tank of fluid--it starts burning out before the tank is empty

    - - - Updated - - -

seems i get clogged up if i use that much cotton--maybe my coils are too small--5/64

Yeah, I should have specified, that's a 3/32 coil, so with something else you'd have to adjust te cotton accordingly.

well i must again say thank you to ryan to the help on and off the forum :thank you thank you my man crush is growing :rolling laugh:

the cotton wasnt drying quick enough so broke out the hair dryer and gave it a gentle dry for a 15 minutes until it looked appropriately dry and followed steps earlier presented to me. this time i put lots of cotton and gently tucked it in as best to resemble what he has above. all i can say is :very good: :vaping:

i am quickly realizing why cotton is better to work with. i still dont think the taste is any better than silica, but as far as financially and ease of use it wins hands down.

Today I tried out the second micro coil from Rip Trippers video and so far I get with this build( 32 Kantal,10 wraps, cotton) the best Vape from the Kayfun by far. The way the coil is set right over the airflow which goes right trough the coil gives a much denser vapor and strong flavor too. Careful when using high nic juice as it might hit a bit more.

so it looks like you are wrapping the cotton on the outside of the coils instead of through the middle. is this a correct assumption?

That's the chimney coil, you saw me take it apart and you vaped it. Vertical microcoil with cotton wrapped around the outside. Maybe I'll make a video on that next.

Which one you favor and think performs best for you? I have to agree wit RipT on the second one, the chimney micro coil.Sure RipT got some good building skills and Vaper knowledge.

Personally, the normal horizontal coil did slightly better for me than the chimney coil. They were pretty damn close, but the chimney was a little harsher. I'm going to try it again and weld some NR wire to the coil to use as the long leg, I might have been getting some burning from that.
