New Logo??

i dont know if the site will accept any form of animated logos, also there is some issus with the mobile users if its an animation(ie. flash anim. dont run on iphone/ipad and newer android versions dont support ether)

 

I think it looks pretty good but would rather not see the flames because they aren't a real part of vaping.....well except maybe in the mind of those who don't understand vaping or worse, associate vaping with exploding mods causing fire etc..

I prefer the new one, just because it is nice to change (not saying the old one wasn't good) and the person spent time creating it.

I would have written "Thailand" using the thai flag color (like he did for the flames).

Thank you to the anonymous creator, for his idea and his gesture.

I really like how the T and V are combined in the new one. But I'm not a fan of all the embellishments (such as the shadows, shines, borders). If whoever designed it wants to play around with variations, I'd suggest:

- keep the words "Thailand" and "Vapers" exactly how they are
- remove all shadows, borders and lighting effects. make it flat. the typography work there stands on it's own just fine.
- use 2 colors
- one for each word
- white and yellow are working well
- remove the subtext (I never heard the word vaperist before - seems odd)
- then maybe add a subtle border (or other effect) somewhere if necessary. try to stick to one effect only. if no effects are needed, that's great - don't use any.
- remove the flames. maybe replace with clouds

Anyway, that's just my take on a possible variation if the designer feels inclined.

As for the subtext, I don't think it's necessary. But I do have the following notes re taglines/mottos in my Evernote which I've found useful a few times in the past:

- 6-8 words is ideal
- convey differentiation and a clear benefit
- a motto expresses a guiding principle, a goal or an ideal, but a tagline conveys a value proposition. Mottoes are lofty and reassuring. Taglines are personable, lively and sometimes clever. Clever is good, but only if it helps convey, not obscure, the benefit.

 

Me too . . . . the old one had a touch of class and as SD wrote, "clean, simple, elegant."

The new one seems to be trying too hard to be modern. To me it has a kiddish, video game look to it.

Also, look how good the old logo looks on our signatures.

 

The new one would look better with clouds.

Not sure about others but i am only a simple minded vaping individual and don't really like the new logo.......
