1. Welcome to Thailand Vapers, an English language forum for members in Thailand and the rest of Asia to talk about vaping.
Commonly referred to as e-cigarettes, vaping is really about the use of personal vaporizers (mods) and atomizers (tanks, clearos, RBAs, RDAs, RTAs) filled with e-liquid.

    First a big :welcome:.

As others have said go for the iStick and the mini Nautilus. This is what I use every day all day. When I go out, like yesterday I just take a bottle of e liquid with me in case I run out this will save me from buying stinkies at 7/11.

I am going to order another iStick (The new one coming out) and another Mini Nautilus, then I will have a spare just in case I drop one.
    Get some spare coils also.

All of the above most likely can be purchased from the vendors that advertise on this forum, you might pay a little more but WTF you dont have to worry about shipping from overseas and customs grabbing your shipment.

This advice is coming from a fellow newbi and I just dont need the hassle of buying from overseas, I just want to continue to enjoy my vaping....:vaping::vaping::vaping::vaping::vaping::vaping::vaping::vaping::vaping::vaping::vaping::vaping::vaping::vaping::vaping::vaping::vaping::vaping::vaping::vaping::vaping::vaping::vaping:

    Test post, please ignore!
    **Updated**
Another useless one, to up my post count so I can post my report, which does not make it through the spam filter. By the way, the explanation given by the spam filter why my post is not getting through, is grossly misleading!
    **Updated**
Not easy to trick the system to get rid of the spam limiter, but I will do it!

Oh well .... Done now ...
    **Updated**
    Hi everyone!

    Lots of valuable information here!

Yesterday I went to the Store next to Siam Square, found the little mall easily by following the instructions elsewhere in the forum, but I first could not find the shop.
Turned out I was too early ...
Shop opens daily from 2 pm, so the friendly and knowledgeable owner told me.
And - contrary to the info on the forum, it is actually the second stall on the RIGHT, not left, once you taken the left at the junction!

iStick was out of stock, but I got my hands on two Nautilus Minis, and I bought the SMOK VV Gripper instead, plus 2 Batteries, double Battery charger and some extra coils.

After getting back to the Hotel, I just realized how complex some of these things are, and that is not helped by the producers supplying inadequate documentation.
First hurdle: Neither the Batteries nor the SMOK mod had indications on polarity, + or - ...
Oh, well, there aint no alternative but to try, right?
Added battery, and closed the compartment. I saw a bright flash on the screen, and then nothing.
    Hm?
Tried all the 4 buttons, double clicking, pushing them in various combinations, and rhythms .... Nothing.
Ok, now lets reverse polarity .... Now, no initial flash, but still nothing .... Another try on pushing the various buttons, nothing. The manual is pretty useless, sometimes I believe it describes a different piece of Hardware ....
So now I thought the newly purchased batteries were totally flat, so I got out the charger and wanted to charge them. I also got a USB charger at the shop, and finally found the charging cable hidden somewhere within the guts of the charger. So I connected the cable to the charger, put the charger on an electric outlet, guessed the polarity of the battery, inserted the battery to the charger, and .... got an error on the charger.
Well? Probably wrong polarity? Reversed the battery, and another attempt .... This time it showed a 55% charge, and charged for about one minute, until another error was shown. Reset the battery, and on I went for another minute or five, now 57%, and another error .... Rinse, repeat, and with two or three more errors I got it to 62 %.
One more try to put the battery into the Mod, still nothing ....
Now I was starting to assume that the Mod came D.O.A., or maybe I f*cked it up by putting the battery in the reverse side ...?
Or maybe the battery? Lets charge the other one .... Now I entered both batteries into the compartments, and immediately got two errors ....
Now was the time I was assuming that maybe the wall charger is the problem, so I connected the charger to my 12W iPad charger .... working, and charging now!
I left it to charge for about 2 hours, and then tried the Mod again.
    Still nothing ....
Now I did some Google on the Smok, and found a video review .... And here I found it: The Mod is turned on or off by clicking the power button 5 times within 1 Second!!!!
Thanks to the producers for not including this information on their leaflet!

But the battery is working now, and I started to fill some of my liquid into the Nautilus Mini.
ANd the first puff .... wow!
Great taste, just the right amount of kick (I am using 6 mg Mt. Baker, and still experimenting with flavors), something I never got enough of with my eGos. So far no flooding and no spilling either, something that made me mad with the Ego-C!

The Nautilus Mini is great, the SMOK (I am currently experimenting with Voltage and it looks like 4.2 V and the 2nd largest air hole does it best for me) I don't really like, it feels very flimsy and cheap, I will probably get an iStick soon to replace this!

Heh, I don't know if the SMOK has reverse polarity protection so maybe it's a good thing you didn't know about the 5-clicks :D

At least you're now getting a more satisfying vape!

Well, that's a sure-fire way for a producer to raise his turnover: Sell a mod that gets killed by reverse polarity, and omit the polarity information on the gizmo as well as the info sheet!
    Entrepreneurially geniosity for sure!

Glad the SMOK worked out better for you than the Ego-C and there will be something which will work better than the iStick sooner or later for sure. Enjoy Vaping:vaping::vaping:

Just a quick update. Got the IStick now, and for me it is so much better than my older gear ... Still very happy with the Nautilus Mini, and various Juices I bought here through recommendations on this page, for which I am grateful!
The plan of getting rid of cigarettes is coming together, I am still allowing me a few cigarettes a day, but in a controlled environment with strict time limits and limits on location. Down from 60 Cigarettes to currently less than ten, and counting down.
Feels good to get rid of that habit after more than 40 Years ...

    Hi Guys

Sorry to jump in on this thread but it seemed a perfect place to ask.

I have read the thread and it seems I am in the same position - I currently have the Aspire K1 Starter kit which is good but, to be honest, after reading the stuff above I am very interested in the iStick and the mini Nautilus combo. I see that I can get the mini Nautilus from Mickey (already used his excellent service) but he does not have the iStick.

Can anyone please give me some advice as to where I could get the iStick (as quick as poss)? I live in Pattaya btw.

    Much obliged..

    Jimmy

Reports on this are very good. Not read a single complaint anywhere, personally.

Innokin's got their sh*t together unlike some of the other Chinese suppliers. Price is right and it's available now...if I were looking for a 'right-now' mod, I'd grab that or the rDNA30 that he's selling (Vaporshark rDNA 30 Box Mod | Thailand Vapers).
