Quick question.. Will a coil on 0.3ohm produce more or less heat on a coil that's 0.6ohm on 40 watts?

 

Should be the same since the energy us the same. In theory. In practice than lower the ohms than warmer my tank. But that may be from my device.
Why do you ask?

 

Nichrome actually gives me a better flavor of the vape compeered to kanthal. So I'm happy even thou I can't use the TC mode.. My OBS got really hot vaping on Kanthal, with Nicrome not so hot.

Easy to make coils as well compeered to Kanthal. I make my coils with screwdrivers and the Nicrome is mutch easier to work with.

10 meters for 250THB inc shipping are not bad at all..

I can recommend this to you guys that are vaping Kanthal wire if your mod does not have temperature control.. Nicrome seems to me to give a better taste and lower heat. Im wicking with Japanese organic cotton pads from Muji.

I have tested it on subtank with the kbox mini at 0.6 ohm and OBS cirus at 0.34 ohm..

Just got into rebuilding for only a week and I'm using Nichrome wire too, happy with it so far. Got a few questions though; can I dry-burn it like Kanthal? And can I make contacted coil with Nichrome? (assuming Nickel is the only one that MUST be spaced out)

 

I dry burn at 7.5 W for Ti (only faint red glow) and SS316L at 12 W. No and never I do what I see in those reviews.

Secondly, I dry burn new coils to take the tension from the coil.

 

I Dryburn at 15w max to fix the hotspots on new coils and make the glow nice and even. Glowing from the middle and out

Yes you can, i dryburn my new nicrome coils at 15w on 24g, on 28 at 10w.. Anything higher that that the coil might snapp

 

r is still good. And no need to build special coils, just something 28 ga with 5 - 7 wraps will do, depending which ohm you want to get. I do not recommend lesser

Tats the kind of info I need as a newbie - will try tat - so far have only had 28 g kanthal and winging it in ohms at 0.65 as per mod twin coil -

Wanna try out TC - but ni200 on kanger nano has been a huge let down - zero flavor

 

But the Kanger Subox Nano kit doesn't have TC function so you shouldn't use ni200 coil on it though.

I won't disregard and u are right - just using the nano top with eleaf40tc - since I tried my first dripper Origen v2 I haven't been able to accept kanger taste -

You can dry-burn it but don't make contact coils from it. I do never make any contact coil anyway, since I tried it and foubd flavour is richer with spaced coils.
