Truly hope so. The deck is maybe a bit small for my fingers so I have a feeling I will be using tweezers a lot. Lol

Naaa, you'll get use to it. Surely, coming from a RDA yes, it feels like building a mini version ^^ But Nothing that can't be done, really. The wick is tricky, the build not so much.

Looks like you can push it to the deck after putting the chamber on OR put a bit in the channels before the chamber. I'll just have to play with kanthal before using Ni200. Easier to get and if I can get that right a tc build will be easy to wick. Lol

Re the Zephyrus, @Tibo said in a different thread "Wow" and I say the same! I'm using a rebuildable coil and now it's my third day and I really love this tank.

Have to admit that it started out bad with occasional dry hits with my first build. Now, using the Trevor Jones' Goblin method of wicking with organic cotton, its been very good but had a couple of near-dry hits when at rate like chain vaping. I think it may be that the draw just previous to the near dry hit wasn't strong enough or airflow too wide open for strength of draw to create enough vacuum to pull in enough juice (fairly heavy VG). Will go with Rayon on my next build and see how she does.

When chatting with Tibo I estimated the airflow is maybe 33% or so more open, wide-open, than the Goblin is. Other notes:

    • Flavor rendition is very-very good IMO
    • Vapor density and volume with a somewhat heavy VG juice is excellent
    • Threading on all parts except maybe top cap (see below) is really very nice
    • Building on it is really easy for me.
    • Top cap exposing the top fill area was a little hard to unscrew the first time. It's OK now.
    • Top fill method is nice and easy with a rubber grommet type piece that plugs the fill-holes.
    • Air flow control ring is smooth with just the right amount of resistance
    • Air-sound wide open to 3/4 open is OK and not very obnoxious, half open has a bit of a low-medium-pitched wheeze but it's not bad at all
    • Can rebuild without dumping juice
    • Bottom section you unscrew to access the coil & deck can be a little bit difficult where you have to really grip the glass tank and top cap area while doing it
    • Putting back on the bottom section requires you first pass an o-ring/seal through the bottom of the glass and then align the bottom chimney section surrounding the coil deck with the chimney stem coming down from the top cap area. I fumbled a little with that so will review some vids to make sure I am doing it right. It wasn't a pain rather a little clumsy.
    • Nice included heatsink type drip tip adapter included
    • Drip tip has a sort of cool looking spiral type cut on the inside but I doubt it does anything. The tip is a little small for my use so I replaced it with a different one.
    • It really drinks up the juice

Highly recommended if you like airy draws and aren't too concerned about juice consumption.

Couldn't agree more @Scratchy, especially on the flavor. The two main improvement over the Goblin for me is the flavor and the airflow, both on part with a good rda IMO.

The refilling system is very nicely thought, I did not mind the screw at the base on the Goblin but this new system is so convenient.

Eating the juice ? Oh yeah, big time, but it's not leaking on the mod so what's not in the tank went in your lung. No waste ! ^^

As for the wicking method, Scratchy recommend me to watch this video :

Work just perfect on the Zephyrus, will do the same next time I rebuild my Goblin.

One detail though, I build a .3ohms dual 24ga and that might be too low. With heavy VG juice, I got slight dry hit on the third consecutive puff. Almost no ramp up time which is good on a dripper but on a tank, you need to take into consideration that the juice has to go up.
Therefore my next build will be higher with probably 26ga wire, so the ramp up will be slower, giving more time to the juice to come up.

I was wondering, does having more airflow from the base make much/any difference when the chimney is 6mm? So does 6mm 12mm from the base make a much difference to a base with 6mm considering the chimney is 6mm?
*I don't know how wide the chimney is on the Zephyrus or the Goblin I'm just assuming they're both 6mm.

It does look a nice tank though, maybe one for the future for me (probably not the way things are going in the vape world) but at the moment I am happy with singles...

I would think if the chimney inner diameter size is the same on two different devices but the air intake up through the decks are different between them (but both at least equal to the chimney) the common denominator restriction of the chimney would see the draw being the same (same drip tip too). I'm just not sure though.

I don't know the specs on the inner diameters of both of these tanks but the Zephyrus is noticeably more wide-open.

I was thinking it won't make a difference indeed, but it does, and it does well !! The airflow is way more open.

Thanks for the help here. Very much appreciated. I was looking far a single coil for tc but settled on this instead so once I have the wicking sorted for kanthal I will replicate it with Ni200. If I get a dry hit then I'm in real trouble.
