Bottom filled my authentic KFL+ with the FT nano kits I got today. 1.8ml, sucked it out and double-checked to make sure.

This does seem to show that the bottom filled 3.1 nano would hold more. I love the taste and vapor quality from the 3.1, and I do like a tight draw so it would be great to have a smaller tank than the stock 3.1, however i feel top filling with a nano at 1.8ml is a little low. im not sure how full the tanks can be ether as im sure this requires a vacume to stop the tanks flooding which will mean theres a minimum amount of air required to be left when filling.

You piqued my curiosity, so I put my other nano kit on my EHPro 3.1, side filled it, and lo and behold, 1.8ml. I decided to go a step further, emptied it, filled a syringe to 1.8ml, and top filled it. I put all 1.8ml into it and a few drops leaked out from the threading.

I don't think you're going to get as much as you think you're going to get by using that side fill.

I must be missing something here, i top fill 1.8ml then turn it on its side with a plastic section in the middle and it shows 2/3rds full. i did get my kayfun and nano kit from the same place but have them on order from ft too but i dont think there different sises. maybe i need to try another syringe to check my mesurments.

On another note i have seen Kayfun Topcaps on ft that say there 4.5ml, as the pics show there nano kits with a solid top section it cant be true, would be good though, im thinking of getting a top cap and geting it on a lath to give me more ecapacity.

I think the thing you might be missing is the space the chimney is taking up. If it isn't 100% full, your Kayfun will look fuller with the drip tip up and look lower with the drip tip down. The chimney takes up virtually the whole tank area in the lower section, and barely anything in the top area. When you switch to the nano kit, you're basically removing all of that top area.

There are different sized nano kits however. If memory serves, the pieces can be between 6-8 mm each, cutting down the total size from 8-12mm.

I nearly bought one of those syringes today. What's the process? do you just stick it in the side or are there rules to follow? (like laying it flat first for example)
I've been doing fine filling the top with my finger over the hole and turning it upside down before screwing the bottom tight as i learned in a Youtube vid.

Also, because you are looking at a cylinder, 2/3ds from the top in a cylinder is probably closer to 85% full. Try just putting just further up the threads while top filling, you might be short-changing yourself.

The EHPro 3.1 has a removable screw for the side fill. If yours has the ball bearing a syringe would be useless. If it does have the screw, there is no trick to it, just remove the screw and fill it up slowly.

Either way, you're getting damn near the same amount top filling as you are side filling.

    Cheers Ryan.

Mine came with a screwdriver (flat and philips) but i haven't felt the need to start poking around in that hole. This thing is producing tasty, cloudy vapes and i'm a happy camper.

The reason i found myself looking at syringes today was a rip tripper video on rebuilding pro tank coils. I'm handing over my Kangers to my sister and the coils are all *ucked. Rip tripper said i should wrap the coil round a 20 gauge syringe, but these things are like hen's teeth in Bangkok so i gave up after a few local pharmacies. I did however see many that looked just like the one pictured above so i'll probably go and get one tomorrow.

Which drill bit should i buy for making micro coils for my unitank minis. I'm currently using a 2 mm bit but the needle he had in the vid looked a lot smaller.

When you swing by I'll show you how to rebuild the Kanger coils the right way, not the half-assed way Rip Trippers does it. I believe I have 18, 20, and 22 gauge needles, but I don't use them. I use a metric drill bit set that I picked up in the modeling section (in the toy area) of Central Chidlom for 160 baht.

Oh, also, I got the needles at the pharmacy in the supermarket downstairs at Central Chidlom and the pharmacy near Soi 4 next to Bullys.

You may be right Ryan but when i fill to the top of the screws overflowing theres still a small amount of wide space where the chimeny section is at its smallest. i can do thes tests tomorow by flooding from the tip then blow drying the burn chamber. having too much fun vaping this to take it out of service for too long though. I do think a 3.1 with 3 ml is the ideal sise to capacity ratio though and this should be available with a hollow top cap version. Shame nobodys offering this.

I think that area gets filled up when you screw the cap on and flip it. You still have to displace the topcap threads, so I'm assuming that is where the juice is going. Why not try using 1 nano section and 1 normal section? Also, I haven't tested it, but try the PMMA tank from FT. It is a single piece (eliminating wasted space from the threading of the 3 tank sections) and bows out a bit, so I think you'll get a bit more capacity out of it. It won't be any shorter, but it sure as hell looks great when you polish it with toothpaste.

I'm sending the Kangers back to the UK with my mum on Monday lunchtime and you're in Vietnam so it seems unlikely i'll be swinging by in time. i would like to know how it's done though. I did see those modelling drill bits in Central for 160 baht (i work a stone's throw from the toy department) but i'd already picked up a 2mm drill for 50 baht so i figured it was a waste of money. It hadn't occurred to me at the time i might want to use another size.

I'm looking forward to dropping in after Songkran. Off to the beach first. And off to bed now. Cheers.

    Ah-ha! So that's it?

When i said i couldn't find that thing you had at Hemingways on FT it was because the one they had was all foggy, while yours was clear. I'm not mad about the foggy version, even though it's in my latest cart. I shall go ahead and buy with some gritty whitening tp to do the rest.
