The "chip", or even the entire imported raw DNA board, would be classed simply as Electronic Goods, which are legal to import. Electronic goods, in a component or board form, aren't ever classed against their possible purposes.. just as an electronic component. Its not until you slap some batteries on it, a 510, and then put it in a box, does it become anything else but a raw electronic module.

Hello. 3 days ago I flew to Thailand to relax. from Russia I took a mod triade and driptip and 2 bottles of liquid. departure from Russia, no employee of the airport did not warn about anything. when arrived in Thailand as none of the customs officer I was not looking my backpack. and only on the second day of my vacation, I know that my vape is illegal, and I venture to be for him in prison. how to be and what to do?

Not sure what you are saying. Don't draw attention to yourself and you should be ok.

    Simplified: Be discrete!

Should be. Don't go chuckin' clouds in the shopping mall or walking along the street.

Last trip to Pattaya I actually had the Mama Sangs of a few bars and clubs warn me that if police come in Hide the Vape gear quick. Never had that before. I always ask in any bar or club I go on to BTW, to be on the safe side. Previously it has always been no problem at all. No warnings or anything.

I just landed at Swampy...new Customs video on my TG flight before landing calls out water pipes and e-cigs as being forbidden. Too bad if they can't take a joke... ;)

My daughter was there at that market when all this occurred. She saw the venders running for their lives.

I was driving on the train road in Pattaya (don't know what else to call it) last Sunday and there was a road block with many police. This was between Soi Khao Noi and Soi Kowtalow. They were stopping all vehicles. They stopped my car and asked me to get out. Then looked in the car. In my pidgen Thai I asked what they were looking for. Turns out they were looking for vape gear. This has turned into a major cash cow for the police. They can charge huge fines and pocket it all. Just business as usual in Thailand. All about the money. I no longer take my vape equipment outside my home.

Yeah, that road is famous for checkpoints...I avoid it like the plague. ;)

Was it a perfunctory (visual) search of your car or did they really look in all the nooks & crannies?

Just a quick look inside in my case. I saw others being looked at much harder.

    Damn...
I go Thailand on saturday , staying Pattaya a few days and Thailand roughly 1 month . Should i not take anything with me ? I have a Pico which is quite small , and fits my pocket easy . I will also have roughly 250 ml of liquid with me , to get through the month . How tough is it getting to vape ? Leave everything home ( i mean not bring anything at all and switch for the complete month back to sigs ). thx

In Pattaya at the moment I would not suggest taking any vape gear outside of your home or hotel room. Some people are still using vape gear around town at bars but that is dangerous. Riding any vehicle you may be stopped and searched. Best to play it safe. Whatever the reason this is a hot subject in Pattaya at this time. It may pass but right now isn't the time to push it.

I wouldn't do that...switching back to the stinkies isn't an option worth even considering!

That would work...just be very cautious if you vape outside of your hotel room. Worse case, you can always buy gear from local suppliers. ;)

I've vaped openly in Bangkok for 2 years and never had a problem.

Anybody know about the vaping situation in Phuket?

There will be many more checkpoints on the roads targeting tourists for anything they possibly can in Phuket. Anybody lived there for decent amount of time who vapes and gone through police checkpoints with vape gear in/on a car/bike?
