1. Welcome to Thailand Vapers, an English language forum for members in Thailand and the rest of Asia to talk about vaping.
Commonly referred to as e-cigarettes, vaping is really about the use of personal vaporizers (mods) and atomizers (tanks, clearos, RBAs, RDAs, RTAs) filled with e-liquid.

VVV not OK. Just been onto the website. Most MBV juice is gone, and the rest is mainly 0% nic only.
Very sad if they go under. Always a small sample of a different flavour in my order, and a handwritten note.

juices at 0 pour cent Nic: I feel that the problem as everywhere will be Nic, but If we speak good to him we should find an issue.

I stand corrected concerning Vvv-- apologies if I have incorrect info. They helped me out, in very quick time.
I, for one, am not here these days ( this is a short return for a family visit) but can second (and 'third', if that were possible) any thoughts of moving towards self mix. It's very easy, after a very short learning curve, it's cheap, and it guarantees you always have supplies.
As has been said, though, 'Nick' is an elusive entity-- not so much for those of us not living in this 'Land Of Similes' (pun intended) but still becoming more difficult to 'meet' even in enlightened parts of the world. Conquer that conundrum and the rest is a piece of cake.
    Happy mixing.
There was a cut off point about 6 weeks back, up to which point, 'meeting' Nick, in UK was plain sailing, now he's less available, and most people ( yours truly included) stocked up, big time, freezers are bulging everywhere.
    Good luck,
It's much less difficult if you are on a 'Low' or even 'Zero' regime, I'm not, but many vendors in UK sell One Shot Mix Kits, which work very well, only things missing are Nick and VG/PG, the resulting flavours are pretty authentic.

The latest Farang news quote that even possession is illegal. (sorry it is in German)
Empfindliche Strafen bei Einfuhr von E-Zigaretten, Thailand

I do not know where they have this information from.. but I ask myself, if selling is illegal, what would have changed the case for this poor Swiss guy, if he bought a mod "illegally" somewhere in Thailand but could have proved that the mod was not imported by showing a receipt of a thai shop?

Sorry, Sue...I'm quite sure about the current legal situation here.

The Swiss guy would have probably got off with no more than a fine if he told them he had bought it here.

Even if you had a receipt, I am sure the Thai shop wouldn't want you showing it as proof of in-country purchase...at least not with their name on it. Also, for the good of the Thai vape community, not recommended doing something like that as the vendors may experience trouble. If you want a receipt, see if you can get one without a shop or personal name on it.

It certainly seems like a very grey area to me. It's one of those situations which will come down to the discretion of the officer in particular, regardless of what the Law is, or isn't.

But how can I prove to a policeman that I did not import my gear? Just to say: I bought it at a Thai shop will not be enough for sure, because policemen know that tourists take their own stuff with them. ;) Farangs who live there with visa are probably more credible I suppose.

I cannot think of any alternative other than pleading ignorance, being respectful and polite, and if possible using a generic receipt without names on it or otherwise saying you bought it on the street and no receipt provided. Just part of the risk involved with vaping here.

    Yep,
It is all around, Bangkok post, Thai visa...
I gonna miss his excellent service.
As far as I can see on his Facebook account he seems to be free, I mean not in custody. He got busted for his birthday.
    Cheers.

Personally, I agree with you Sue,I really don't think there's much difference between any of us and the unfortunate Swiss guy-- he just got unlucky. Whether claiming he got his device inside the country would have made any difference, who knows. After all, I'm sure they are fully aware that Thailand does not make Mods, Tanks and Atomisers and everything is imported.

in this trouble times, I quite sure that is difficult to have a receipt from someone.
[or maybe for old gears from 2013/2014 (before the law change)]
