Proposed Thai Laws for Vaping in Thailand

When I read about the culture of a country, I always wonder what people are referring to. In France for some, French culture is Napoleon, for some other it is the Catholic supposedly roots and the "regretted" Monarchy. For some it is the ideas of the enlightenment philosophers and the revolution. I could carry on for ages.
Then what is Thai culture ? I guess it depends of who you are (where you are from, your age, your socio-economic origin, your education, your view of the world and so on...).
Is there anything such as The culture of A country ?
Might have but I'm still looking for an adequate definition.
About the future of vaping in Thailand, honestly regarding the ideology, the cognitive abilities and the general behaviour of the people in charge, I'm not very optimistic.
Keep calm and vape on as long as you can.

Chang International Circuit in Buriram will host the MotoGP for the next three years with a testing session thrown in in February 2018. Pit crews are notorious smokers and with smoking in the pits prohibited, many have taken to vaping. It would be interesting to see how the Thai government will handle this situation.

 

Hey wanted to share my experience last night. I was walking with a friend around Nana area in Bangkok and a single police officer stopped us on his motorbike and searched us both, looking for drugs. I took my eleaf pico out of my pocket along with my phone and he didn't give it a second look, but was going through all our pockets, wallets etc. and even looking on the ground around us in case we dropped something. We were just enjoying our NYE with beers as usual, doing nothing wrong. There were some Nigerians at the soi who started talking to us and we were just joking around with them and kept walking, which was probably the reason why we were searched. I was 100% sure I'd have trouble for the e-cig but he really couldn't care less.

 

If he was a vaper he would have taken the eleaf for his own use.

Sharing recent experience also.
Went out just before new year in Bkk (which I do very rarely).
Went to Soi 11, didn't have any problem vaping in the street (still checked if there were any bib around from time to time). In Soi 11, did also openly vape for a long time near the street in an open bar where people could smoke.
Went also to cowboy.
Stayed outside a bar near the street to look at people and vaped for a long time openly. Ladies liked the smell of my home made Maxx blend/caramel recipe.
Then went inside a go go around 1/2 am. After I asked, a waitress told me I couldn't vape. Was quite drunk so I quickly forgot and ended chain vaping inside openly in front of the waitress. She didn't give a damn. Then finished on a table outside that go go (literally on the street, near the entry of the soi), and carry on vaping a lot (was then too out of it to care for the bib or anything else).
I took an old and small eleaf Istick mod and a Squape RS (quite old and small atomiser). Was not making huge clouds but not restraining myself.
Yes we have to be careful with the bib but This Is Still Thailand.
Enjoy, vape on but be careful and/or lucky.

 

Always great to hear stories from those who vape in public and get away with it. Problem is, these days, it is just 'getting away with it'. Luckily you didn't have any problems to interrupt an enjoyable and innocent night out. But it COULD have ended a LOT differently.
