1. Welcome to Thailand Vapers, an English language forum for members in Thailand and the rest of Asia to talk about vaping.
Commonly referred to as e-cigarettes, vaping is really about the use of personal vaporizers (mods) and atomizers (tanks, clearos, RBAs, RDAs, RTAs) filled with e-liquid.

    Hi,
    Thanks @Siam Diesel.
    Very very very bad news.
I wanna use some inappropriate words used recently by a very famous foreign president to describe my feeling about LOS but I will restraint myself.

LMAO - somehow appropriate in this situation...sadly! :(
The more they try to repress it, the more people will do it...eventually, they will lose this fight!

Personally, I'm not too worried about losing my mod/tank... I'm more concerned about the numerous "problems" that you'll face as a result of them finding my mod/tank. If it's a simple case of throwing away my gear... so be it... but I doubt that'll be the end of it.

Well, I will be very angry if they throw the gears I like in the bin. So I will have to take my very old ego and kanger atomiser because if I lose them it will not be ok but not so bad. On another hand I won't be able to vape for a few hours when I get off the plane and that will be bad.

For the moment I'm not so worried and I think that will be the end of it. I doubt they will call the police/customs.
Wait and see if anyone share some experience about this issue.
I will travel in a month and will let you know how it goes.

I'd be right royally p*ssed off if they just 'threw away' one of my mods (because we KNOW the good stuff won't stay in the trash)...the word is that right now, though, that's all that's happening.

Wait until some tourist pitches a fit because they want to take his mod and he's flying back to a country where vaping is legal...there's bound to be a sh*tstorm when that happens.

For now, it's the old mods only when I travel next...and that will go in my checked luggage. Bloody f*** 'em if they can't take a joke. :D

To be fair, the mod I usually travel with is pretty old... My VT133 is still serving me well. If I had a newer/better mod, I'd probably be pissed as well... but not pissed enough to kick up a fuss because kicking up a fuss as a tourist in a foreign country when you're at security/immigration in a third world country tends to not be a good idea.

Next time I travel, I'll definitely look at breaking down my mod into the IC, case, buttons, etc. and put it back together when I land... just as a precaution... unless something changes between now and my next trip (which should be sometime at the end of February).

This is very bad news. I don' think I'll be going to Thailand again for holidays.
I do have to travel to Krabi in Feb for a work trip. I'll report back with my experience.

Couldn't agree with you more...but that won't stop some witless foreigner from doing it anyway. ;)

I saw in some Facebook groups that Thai vapers are sharing videos of police dragging a lady vaper? Is she OK?

Well I’m back home in LOS safe and sound with my gear nothing different to every other time I have flown into and out of Bangkok. So for now it’s all good. I didn’t go through Donmuang tho.

Welcome back! Be careful the next time you leave & let us know if you notice anything different when you pass through Swampy Security. At Don Muang, this is where the recent 'change' has been confirmed. They won't let any vape gear be carried on the plane...it has to go into the bin.

I’m heading out again in a few days so will keep all posted. I am usually just transferring through bkk so there is nothing to worry about. But going forward. Mech squonkers fully broken down will be the future.
