Well, it depends on where you're going in "The Kingdom"... I'm one of the unfortunate ones who have a flight path that doesn't end in Don Mueang or Swampy. Whether I exit during my transit to switch flights on certain airlines (Malindo), or transit without exiting (AirAsia)... there are metal detectors and security at some point between both flights.

Somewhat related... can anyone recommend a reasonably easy to get mod, that can be easily disassembled - one that's basically just held together with screws. I've had a look at the few I own, and the Snow Wolf appears to have glue for certain parts, the Dagger as well. The VT133 I have no idea because I use it all the time so I haven't actually attempted to take it apart to see how it's put together.

Great success! So went through the airport (Swampy) last Saturday and nothing to see here folks. Brought with me about 5 mods, tool kit, cotton, 6 batteries, 2 tanks, 2 drippers, 6 flavor vials, 16 oz of base with premixed nic.

I had the missus walk a few feet in front of me, just because your paranoid doesnt mean their arnt out to get you, since she claims to always be stopped when alone. I had everything on me and went right through.

I will be leaving everything here so no need to walk the gauntlet again. Anyway, it seems at the moment to get caught at swampy is just unlucky.

Mech squonkers would be the easiest way. A cheap and very good one is the Hugo vapour squeezer. Remove the silver plated contact and the 510 if you wish then it’s just a plastic box.

Not a fan of mechs... I still prefer a regulated mod. I'm going to have a look at some of the DIY mods available here before my next trip over... quite a few of them that I've seen before have a metal frame and wood/metal frames, and the chips/boards are more slot in than glue in. Hopefully I can pick up one that fits the bill.

Successful international departure through swampy last night. They pulled my cabin bag going through the scanner because, as usual, I'd forgotten a bottle of water in it.
The friends I met in BKK both arrived in Don Muang from Bali and reported no bag scan on arrival there.

Don' forget to put everything in your pockets on arrival at an airport. In the event that they do scan your bags, you don't go through a loop.

Sorry if I'm stating the obvious, to an experienced hand like you!

More interested in anyone leaving via DMK... So far, it seems like most people are arriving/exiting via Swampy... but few are arriving and especially leaving via DMK. For the most part, exiting DMK (unclear if international or domestic) is where the action is based on the info from @centella4u / Ace Vaper.

I'm not sure when my next trip will be (yet), but as usual, I'll most likely be arriving at DMK, going for some food, and then heading to DMK domestic departures. Straight into the fire!

    Train instead?
    **Updated**
I did mention earlier in this thread that they asked me on a domestic departure from DMK about 8 or 9 weeks ago if I had an ecig in my hand luggage. I falteringly said yes. I think they just wondered what the batteries were. (Regulated mods) they let me through, no problem.
This was before the latest info about the memo, though.

I fly I to Krabi tomorrow with work. Only stay for one night and fly back out of Krabi 12 hours later. I'll report here if I'm not in prison, which will also mean sacked!

I fly, with work, regularly to Cancun Mexico. The customs there consider ecigs illegal. I had my tackle taken once but they just took my passport number, gave everything back to me, along with a warning not to repeat the offence. My pocket theory works a treat there.

We do need reports from domestic and international departures from DMK.

Has anyone here had issues recently with domestic departures? DMK/BKK? I'm going to be traveling inside Thailand with my dad this month and it would be really embarassing to have trouble at the airport this time.

I can give my experiences though:
    • BKK->CNX and back in May 2017, no issues, don't remember how I packed it but probably just had it in my pocket and put it in the tray at X-ray.
    • DMK->CNX and back this month, no issues. I put my mod in my backpack as carry-on luggage, with battery and tank (drained) in separate pockets.
Only issue had leaving CM as I had a protein shaker with powdered oats and whey inside. They inspected it and after I explained them it's powder, not liquid they let me go, but they all wanted to take a group photo with me and my protein shake wtf

If you start at this post & read forward, this is the current situation...the problem seems to be Don Muang (if there's going to be a problem outbound) but it's anybody's guess at this point.

This is a very important and helpful advise, which I already read many times here, lets hope that "they" don't catch up here, and install body scanners within the next weeks or start to ask tourists entering to also empty their pockets.... (I know I'm starting to behave paranoid) :lost it:

You never know whos reading this.

    I know the paranoid feeling!
