SMOK Alien 220w has Died

Oops, didn't know about this yet. It would actually be the mod I wanted to buy if one stops working! I already erased it from my mind!

 

If you can wait for the release date the iJoy Capitain looks like a cracker. Supposed to be on sale in the next week or so.

 

Well, would wait for a few more reviews on the Captain! Looks like it might be a bit of a damp squib! So far they say it is way under powered and battery life is not where it should be and no better than a good dual 18650 mod. Again, another one I was really interested in but think I'll hold off a bit!

 

***UPDATE***

Both SMOK and the vendor have replied now saying to return it for a refund / replacement, but they have none in stock haha, so Refund it is then.

Also Found a little Joytech Cuboid 150W from a small B&M walking home last night, only $30 too.

Its no Alien in the looks department but it will do for now and the Big Baby beast with RBA fits on like a charm.

Had one of them a while ago. Good reliable beater mod and for $30 can't really go wrong. My only gripe with it was the paint finish (also had it in black). Within a few weeks could see the paint was not going to hold up, within two months was looking a bit ragged. Liked using it, sorry I did not get a stainless one! Contrast that with the red Smok R200 which I bought around Jan 2016, still have it and it looks almost new! Just a shame the R200 is only a 22 mm mod! Finish on mods is very fickle when it comes to the Chinese mods it seems. Also loved the eLeaf iStick 100TC, really nice feel and worked great but the black paint seemed to react with the sweat from my hands. If they came out with a stainless one, I'd buy it in a heartbeat!

 

Yes i have seen the Aliens flake to pieces also, I actually bought a wrap to put on mine, but It had died before the paint even started to go. haha. CCan you hear the violins? im never gonna stop moaning about this hahaha

 

@Prp905 posted a thread a couple of weeks ago. His brother in law has branched out from fixing smartphones to include mods. Sent him my Maxi Quad only a few days ago, so no result yet. Maybe worth a PM,

 

Thanks @farangmick, thats good to know for future. At the moment tho the vendor has given me a full refund.
