So many Subohm Tanks but I'm looking for a great...

Yes, because I really cannot recommend the clone at Fasttech, it's OK but that's all.

I'll definietly take your word for it. Scratchy has been having great luck with his so I'm itchy to get one from the same place. Unfortunately, it is a thai shop and we all know what it's like trying to get a thai place to bring in anything special.

I've been using the Bellus for a couple days now. Here's what I wrote Rick about my experience:

Bellus is working very nicely after a rough start with my coils extending out to much and shorting against the chimney. Had to start from scratch. Then it took a while for it to "bed" or something because in the beginning the vape was pretty meh but now very good. The aromamizer produces thicker and denser vapor (with every build I have done on it) than this setup in the Bellus but the flavor is really very good (if the AFC closed down at least 50%) and maybe a future build I can improve it some more. Wide-open is very airy and really cuts the flavor much too much....more than I have seen with other tanks. I really think I need to do another build on it. Solid thumbs up from me anyway at this point.
To add, today I did a refill on the Bellus and it's the first time I have a had a refill leak on any tank I have been using for what may be a year or more. I was shocked. However, I removed the juice flow control ring and that may have affected it or it's my wicking. Removed it based on one reviewer's recommendation. He and at least one other reviewer pointed out that juice flow control on the Bellus is a pain in the arse. The one who removed it said it's needless if you want to have juice flow control wide open all the time. I do but not at the expense of refill leaking. Will put it back, rebuild and re-wick tonight.

When I first filled the Bellus, it pissed all the juice onto the table, but stupidly, I hadn't shut the air intake down, after I closed it right down, no problem, I should have known better.

I really can't imagine how it would leak if you removed the air control ring altogether?

I want to hit them up for another...at least to have a spare in case my current one's tank breaks or something. Overall, it's been an awesome tank for me up to this point.

@The Rev , unless you have already asked them to get you one, I'll ask if he can bring in a couple of them.

I had closed the AFC fully so it wasn't that. I had removed the juice flow control ring, not AFC. It might be my wicking too. Will see how the rebuild goes later.

I asked him and he said he would call you when it comes in. There's a good chance it was forgotten about so if you're going to ask for one more anyway, maybe remind him and ask him to order both if it's been forgotten.

I like the flavor and vapor from the RDTA better than both at this point. The biggest difference is the density/thickness of vapor. The RDTA is definitely better in that regard. Of course that's only part of the vape experience and do need more time using the new tanks, adjust builds and try different juices in them.

For flavor, both the Cthulhu V2 and the Bellus are very good. The Cthulhu vape reminds me some of the Zephyrus but smoother. At least with the current build I am running in it, it's not quite as smooth as the Billow V2.

Oh and the Bellus' 2 post, 2-post hole design can make rebuilding aggravating compared to some other attys, especially those with velocity style which are a breeze!

My bad folks. That was the Cthulhu V2 JFC ring I removed! Bellus doesn't have one. No leaking with the Cthulhu V2 BTW

OK, just finished the Bellus rebuild from scratch and again leaking when refilling. Not as bad as first time. I don't know though. If it keeps doing this I'm not going to be using it much.

Oh and I lowered the coils more compared to last time. Actually, to get the coils to line up with the air slots, you need to place the coils lower to the deck than you do with other attys. Flavor is definitely improved from previous build. Nice! Still not as good and Aromamizer RDTA though.

Update: Good flavor comes with closing down the AFC quite a lot. Like I wrote to Rick with initial impressions and still now with a fresh rebuild, I think the airiness of this tank really cuts into the flavor too much for my liking and when compared to other tanks. I need to close it down to like 25% or even slightly less. Sort of disappointed about that.

BTW, this is running dual coil Ti @0.16 ohm on the VTC Mini. Will put it on a different TC mod later and see if the VTC mini has some negative impact. Running dual coil Ti on one of my Aromamizer's @ 0.2 ohm and the flavor and vape quality is better to me.

Look like the Aromamizer is still tops. :) A vdo reviewer said that the bellus chimney came unscrewed when filling from the top.

Weird! They must have had that top cap so cranked down that it wouldn't release and instead drove the chimney section.

Haven't put it on another mod yet but the cotton (tried organic cotton again) seems to have settled in like it did the first time and it's another slight improvement. I sometimes forget that, unlike rayon, cotton can take some additional time to get conditioned and perform very well.

I don't mean to say it's not good with flavor because it really is but I was hoping for just a little more and something to very closely rival the Aromamizer RDTA for flavor. It's not far off at all, just not at that level, at least with my taste and admittedly short time so far in using it. I think the Aromamizer's density of vapor makes a difference with flavor (using two-hole band setting on that tank).

All of my recent tanks using rebuildables have been very good. No real overall thumbs down. Most "meh" or average experience was the RBA section with the Morph tank but I only did a couple builds so I might not be fair with that. If I recall that well enough, it's sort of along the same lines of vape experience as the subtank RBA.

Tomorrow more time to spend with the Cthulhu V2....
