That Mod will have plenty of room for you to grow into it feature wise. Very good decision.

I hope so. I really do. The thought of this not working terrifies me as it means I will have to stop the old fashioned way and as a hard-core smoker that will be very difficult. But I *must* stop. I *will* stop smoking. Failiure this time is not an option.

I watched a YouTube video on this mod and all the features he explained I have no idea what they are supposed to do. Lol

All the technical terms go right over my head. I hope I'll be able to test each setting by trial and error. Surely it can't break anything right?

It has some amazing abitilties but also is simple out of the box as well. You'll be using watts instead of volts now but it works the same..... you just remember a new number. Leave the other stuff until later. The battery faces positive down in this one. If you get it wrong it's protected so just open it back up and flip over. It's a very comfortable and fun to hold mod. The paint scratches easy so I'd suggest always using the protective skin. That is half the reason it feels so nice in your hand as well. Feel free to come around here and share with others. You're just having a rough patch...trust me. I've tried quiting over the years too many times to count. I was here happily smoking 3 packs a day at what? $6 a day USD - Sure I was dying. I had to sleep on my stomach with my arms folded beneath my chest and my head hanging so that the post nasal drip didn't keep flooding my lungs. My first hour every morning was spent coughing. Everyone in earshot coming to ask if I was ok. I was miserable but I sure wouldn't admit it. Well I had a trip back to the states and only so much cash. Once there my money was flying out of my pocket so fast I was sure to be broke in a month. I literally prayed and asked God to give me some way to quit as I walked in to a liquor store to buy another pack. That was when I noticed these cigalike vaporizers. I went ahead and picked a couple up. I was headed out camping for the next week and new it would be tough to get cigarettes so I brought those cigalikes and only one pack of smokes. That lasted a half a day. So I went to a cigarette store and saw the bigger stuff and picked up a little protank 2 and an Ego battery. That thing was way better! I actually kind of liked it. Well I sucked on that thing like crazy over the next few days along with smoking in between. My vaping got more and more and my smoking got less and less until I just decided not to go to 7-11 again. The vaping just tasted better. I kept burning up coils and about that time the nautilus came out so I picked one up. That was a night and day difference. More vapor, better taste and the coils lasted longer. I also found better juices. Then I found a dedicated Vaping shop and well..... you get the idea. Within a couple weeks my cough was all but gone. Within a month my lungs felt literally brand new. I thank God every day for giving me this. I literally feel guilty as it shouldn't have been so easy. Keep at it. I'll make sure and pray for you as well. You're in good company here. We have all been there and can say with confidence that you're gonna love it. Good to have you here! -The Rev

Thanks Rev. It definitely helps hearing and being around others that have been through the same challenges.

After reading your post it has got me thinking about decent liquid... When I was in the UK a few years ago I dabbled with a few different liquids. I liked the tobacco ones most as they more closely replicated my 'proper' smokes.

Even though, none really did it for me and I never found one that I could honestly say provided the same satisfaction as a proper smoke. When coils were fresh I was getting proper vape and the throat hit was right but I was never able to find a juice that did it for me. The taste wasnt right.

And now I have a similar challenge... I currently need the 18mg nicotine strength at least to get me started. Perhaps 16mg would also work. But it seems that suppliers on this forum normally are offering weaker mixes and those that do have higher strengths have limited choices available in larger bottles of 20 & 30ml.

Taste is a subjective thing I understand, but I think when first switching to ecigs we are looking for something that will replace what we have lost.

As a smoker of LM blues previously, I am not seeing any mix that I think could really replace what I'm craving right now.

My new mod will help loads to get my nicotine hit... But a decent liquid would really be the icing on the cake for me. I'm still looking for that icing.

If you guys know of a liquid you think could work for me please, please pleeeease point me in the right direction. The juice I'm using at the moment tastes a bit like sucking on wet cardboard :(

Cravings hitting again... Going to suck on some wet cardboard till this episode passes.

Are LM blues a light or a kind of menthol?

They are non menthol. Basically a lighter version to LM reds. My 2nd favourite is mild seven sky blue.

I really think there is not a juice that can replace your cigarette flavor but I can recommend these flavors:
Goodlife Vapor Juice | Thailand Vapers
El Kamino should be a cigarette flavor ( I cannot remember anymore what it tastes like, but it wasn't for me...

Newminster is a pipe tabacco flavor and is one of my all day vapes....

To be honest, I am not familiar with the tobacco flavors available here. The Tobacco flavors I most enjoy are that of pipe tobaccos and those are usually home made N.E.T.s (naturally extracted tobacco). I'm sure some of the others can give you suggestions as to tobacco flavored juice they have been happy with.

IF (big if) you like menthol even a little bit (and maybe...even if you don't), I would highly recommend starting there...Halo Subzero (if Micky has any in 18 mg) is the bomb. It'll give you a good throat hit and keep your taste buds entertained (what's left of them) until they return to normal. I started with Ovale Menthol (16 mg) even though I was smoking Marlboro Lights when I quit. Any menthol will work...it's one flavor that's almost impossible to mess up! If Subzero isn't available, try the Joyetech juices or Tienga's offerings.

If it works for you, you'll have time to sample other juices and find a few more you like. The search for a good tobacco flavor is never ending...but there are very few good ones so better to let that go for now and find something you can vape for a month or so.

Just my 2 setangs because taste in juice is incredibly subjective.

You could also consider trying unflavoured juice as a cigarette-replacement.

I ran across this video and decided I'm going to at least mix some up and try it. He seems pretty convincing to me. I figure it's worth a shot.

I tried 100% vg no flavour before, just cos it was easy to order. IIRC it was good, but have a feeling due to the lack of flavour I could instead taste the coil a little. Will try it again in a bit.
