I hope they restock their kits...they have the best selection I've seen but a lot are out right now. The Aspire Premium Kit is also a good, simple choice for starters...can't beat the N-Mini (no secret that I'm a fanboy)!

If he wants something stealthy, the Wismec is a good choice - with the Nautilus as @Siam Diesel recommended it's a great beginner set IMO ;-)

Please ignore the wattage setting, way too high for the Nautilus mini. I had a Goblin mini attached before (very slim setup).

Just got an Eleaf iJust in the post, for another beginner, this also looks like a nice easy starter kit, Heaven Gifts were running an amazing Sale at CNY and I got hold of a few starter kits, since I'm getting asked a lot these days.

No knowledge of these, but for an absolute beginner, Tienga has the Evod double kit, 900 mAh at 1100B, and GS EGO2 Twist Mega kit, 2200 mAh at 1290B. Either would have got me off stinkies. I now use the VTC Mini almost exclusively, (with Nautilus/Fakebuki tanks of course SD). A great choice if your cousin isn't scared off by the display.

Both the kits mentioned above by Mick are perfectly good for a smoker who wants to start vaping- as I say, I've sorted devices it for at least 10-15 folks in the past year or so, and most of them will never join this forum, never build a coil, and certainly never use TC, and anything too fancy, detailed or technical would have got most of them running back to 7/11 for a pack of 20. These kits above are easy, do the job of getting Nicotine into the users bloodstream and provide the simulation of smoking- that's really all a beginning Vaper wants. At least, that's what I've learnt.

I personaly would only buy devices with a separate removable battery, and only devices which have Reverse Polarity, Short Circuit, Low Voltage and Low Resistance protection. If the device is adjustable it should only let me adjust settings which are safe. Other than that, I think it is well possible getting a perfectly good tasting vape below 20 W.

As for the Cubis I guess you did some research and know already users rate it very well for flavour. I own one, it has one of the best flavours from all tanks I tried. It makes relatively big clouds with the OEM coils, almost too much for my liking. Another good thing is the ease of handling. There are only few parts to dismantle for cleaning, and filling it up might be the easiest from all tanks in the market. However some users report spitting, others say it works well for them. I do have the spitting issue, too. Not only these micro-droplets as it may sometimes happen with a coil that is not too well wicked, but I really feel the hot juice on my tongue. It is an amazing value and well build, but the OEM coils need an adjustment, IMO. I shelved it for the time being.

Got 2 Cubis, considering selling both of them, my opinion is not the same as yours, I couldn't get enough Vapor or flavor, maybe I'm doing it wrong.

Hmm, you see, I have a Kanger Subtank Mini and can't see how people rate this one of the best tanks for flavour. Too hot, too harsh, unbalanced and difficult air-flow adjustment. That's how different tastes are.

Absolutely, what's good for one can be less satisfactory for other.

I know from the Joyetech website they did some adjustments to the coils over time. I do not know what as they don't say. Proper communication is always a big issue. I can guess they did them too tight first, later they loosened them. Did you get an early one?

The RBA coild head however is rated very good. I am waiting for mine. Until then Cubis stays shelved.

I would certainly give it another go with an RBA head, and yes, I did get my Cubis ( both) very early on. Might be worth another try if they've improved the coil heads.

Holy Shit*t, the Chinese are so quick to get to the party, with its 2 ml capacity, anti leak and 'Child Proof features, this is, presumably, aimed at the Post TPD adopting countries- and it may well be a winner.

Dead right Haybilly. The simple no mess/no leak top fill makes a 2 ml capacity not so much of an issue. I'm quite tempted to get one to keep under the bike seat, in case I nip out modless to 7/11, then get delayed for whatever reason.
