For their original asking price they should have been doing that in the first place.

It's definitely nice but based on never having seen a report elsewhere, including the massive thread at ECF, there hasn't been any rust issues whatsoever and maybe only a few posts about oil or off taste. So, it's not addressing recognized issues and is rather an additional improvement. I certainly haven't had either problem.

Yea I agree , I havent seen any rust one mine...maybe i need to look thoroughly. They have been listening and making some improvements. for ex. my first velocity deck had the post holes drilled all the way through and also an issue with the 510 pin. They sent me a replacement v deck for the 510 issue which the post holes were not drilled through and i like that better (but works the same ).

THe price for the tank at $40 ish is a good price for the quality IMO. It feels like a medical device

I see there is also a black version now.

I think the OBS Crius with velocity deck and top fill is now the biggest competition.

Agreed with both of you. I've yet to see any signs of oxidation on any of my 4 SC units. The machining quality, fit and finish are top notch, i.e. can't fault anything about them in their disassembly/assembly. The only time I ever see a leak is when I've "missed a spot" concerning the bedding of the wicking on the deck, particularly nearest to the binding posts. But that hasn't happened is some time now.

Black? Eh... Had a few black tanks in the past, Kangers mostly. The paint chips off over time. SS is beautiful on its own, so not too hot and sweaty over this one...

Price-wise, especially when ordered with the V option puts it neatly in line with all the others, so no issue there either and their customer support is warm, friendly, extremely punctual and communicative. I've all but stopped looking at tank vids any more. Between the 6 & 3Ml options, I've got all my bases covered.

I'm about to pull the trigger on the aromamizer too. Any difference in vape quality between the 3ml and 6ml?
The OBS Crius looks tempting too .. Great to fill when out and about

Just my humble opinion on this astute question: I find myself reaching for my 3Ml's more than the 6Ml's more often than not. But it's for a couple of reasons. The first of which is that I'm getting into blending ready-made (store bought) juices and like using less in case a specific mix needs to be adjusted. Secondly; the "signal path" if you will, is a touch shorter with the 3, therefor the flavor intensity does hit with a bit more complexity and discernibility than the 6.

I like them both, however. When it comes time to jump in the car and go road tripping, for example, I will certainly pump a 6 to the brim and keep another filled close by for those "just-in-case" moments. This also holds true when I'm in love with a particular flavor and just want a bunch in-hand.

The exception to the latter is when I'm either close to home or pack a back-up bottle when I know I'll be somewhere where it's easy to refill the 3Ml tank and not get juice all over myself.

Gotta say... The 3 just adds a tad more flavor-umph due to it's mechanical properties ever so slightly as to be appreciable.

My dos centavos... Coming from an SC/RDTA/V fanatic (read:biased heavily) :)

^Mine still hasn't arrived, I guess it will materialize after Tuesday.
They are available from FT now for a good price too with the code: MAP.

Apart from the obvious juice amounts, is there any difference taste-wise between the 3 and 6 ml versions?

What does FT price come to after applying that code, Rick? I saw the one you quoted from cvapor.

Sorry, just read ckapp's answer to the taste question.

Just checked your code for FT, Rick, and it comes out at just over $27--very good.

Think around $26 with only the 2-post deck, but I imagine most people only want the 2-post deck. I think the XMAS code may work too, but not sure.

No, XMAS didn't seem to work on top of MAP--but still, $27.40 for 6 ml version, amazing price.

SC/RDTA/V diary continues... Got the circumcision done on the 6Ml top cap and bought a sweet straight-through drip tip. With the vertical build shown in the following images, no splatter, hardly any noise when fired and any jeweler should be able to lop it off in a short while. 5 wrap coil, Ti 28g 2 strand twist, 2.5mm and centered between the posts. 0.33Ωon the mod. Dual coil? Nah... Dual wick. Much more efficient.

    Likin' it....

Pull the wick down through the coil first so there's enough to fill the front side of the deck. Leave plenty coming out of the top to fold over the back side of the coil and bed the deck. Tuck the backside wicking in around the back of the coil and wa-la! Dual wick. Vapes like a charm at 420F/20 joules.

Yeah, the cheap Ω guess-o-meter is showing 0.29Ω. The SX Mini M is showing 0.33Ω.

Just got this reply today from Maggie in customer service at Steam Crave regarding the new black tank assemblies. Great news for the colored-tank worriers such as myself:

"Yes, you are right, painting is massively harmful, specially some tank paint black or white color inside of tank, so the pairings/coatings touch your juice directly and poison your juice.
Some atomizer only painting outside of metal parts, no painting or coating inside to avoid touching juice, this way should be ok.

Some tank use black electroplate, this way is better, but still not harmless, we still need to make sure we only electroplate outside only, no electroplated inside.

Our Aromamizer black use black electroplate, only outside, inside of tank, all parts touching juice are stainless steel without anything else.
So this is harmless, you are find to use it, don't worry.
Right now we only see Smoke TFV4 and our aromamizer do black in this way."

Elecroplated on the outside only. Great. Sure will look sweet on the new ML. What a combo!
