1. Welcome to Thailand Vapers, an English language forum for members in Thailand and the rest of Asia to talk about vaping.
Commonly referred to as e-cigarettes, vaping is really about the use of personal vaporizers (mods) and atomizers (tanks, clearos, RBAs, RDAs, RTAs) filled with e-liquid.

Flavor does change with resistance as well as the warmth of the vape. I vape 1.4 ohms in my kayfun 4 which is a cooler full vape while I vape at 1 ohm in my dripper which is a warmer fuller vape. The same juices can taste significantly different even in that range. sub ohming will definitely give you a much warmer vape and different flavor profiles.

    Absolutely!
Hmm… power is the same. Never checked, but wouldn't expect a much faster ramp up time.
Perhaps just slightly due to less mass involved. Coil diameter, number of wraps etc.

I prefer coils with a lager surface which also effects vapor production. Rebuilding my Delta II yesterday: 26ga, 3mm, 9 wraps -> 1.2 Ohms and dry burning, the coil glowed up pretty fast – surely less than a second and that’s good enough for me.

So everyone has its own preferences and that’s a good thing!

I was a bit vague there and going off my preferences. If I did a single coil at 0.5 it would be with 24ga due to increased surface area but I'd wrap a 1.0 coil with 26ga.
They have an output of 30w but one has an output of near 5.5v and one the best part of 3.9v.

But here you are comparing a KF4 with a dripper – different in many terms.
Even the dimensions of you drip tip can affect the vapor warmth and density.

What I claimed is: 1.0 or 1.4 Ohms at the same wattage in the same topper
will give you a very close if not identical experience.

The only real difference between a tank and a dripper is that I keep my juice in a bottle with the dripper....or are you saying that a coil of the same resistance is not of the same resistance between a tank and a dripper?

1.0 and 1.4 at the same wattage has never given me the same experience in the same exact device...but that has been my experience.

OK then, looking deeper into the subject, I have to agree with you.
30W is still 30W :) but coil differences do have an influence as well.
As smaller the surface area, as warmer the vape gets and vice versa.

I’m a technology / science oriented person, always interested in the whys and wherefores which makes vaping an even more interesting hobby for me.

    Happy vaping

Yeah, 30w is 30w but required voltage, coil surface area/resistance opens a huge can of worms lol

So apart from sub ohm restraints, how good is the nautilus mini ?

err...could be wrong cause i haven't vape anything non-subohm, but i notice a difference in vape from a .5ohm to a .2 ohm. Temperature of the vape affects the flavor. If you're doing a subohm tank why not opt out for a higher resistance subohm like a .5

The main reason to get a subohm tank is to do a lung hit on a tank, imo. But if you're super curious why not just try it for yourself. i have the Kanger subohm plus and the arctic and sorta retired my dripper to sit for test tasting other people juices (or my own depending on situations). Plus in my experience different people taste different things. I get a different exhale flavor when i do a lung hit compared to a mouth to lung, but i'm not going to sit here and force my taste buds into your throat XD

The ramp up time with a mech on a anything higher than .6 is just not doing it for me. The warm vape of a subohms and the density of the vapor does alter the flavor IMO.

I however agree that now with performing regulated mods available, subohming performance can be achieved with higher build.

with my atlantis and 1.0 phm coil I can get a decent MTL vape at around 17 watts.

Had bought 2 subtank minis on impulse. Found them very uncomfortable for mtl. Sold them here on this forum before 1 week, they were actually used for a day. My impulsive uncontrolab desires took over me again and bought the Subox 3 days back. Now I can comfortably have mtl vape with full satisfaction. Thay have drilled a smaller hole so that helps and also am using 1.5 ohm coil.

Change of drip tip can dramatically improve MTL. The included one I suspect would be quite poor for vaping that way.
