    How often are you gonna be using it as an ohm reader? You put it on, test the resistance, job done.

    I have had 3 ohm readers in the last year, 2 of them are completely useless.

    Probably once a week - when it is time to replace the coil.

    I think Ill just get a stand-alone ohm reader for sake of convenience, safety and durability.

    Which ohm reader did you pick up that was not completely useless?

    Others may have had better luck but on the whole all of mine have been crap. I won't buy another one.

    No I had a SMOK and a couple of Chinese offerings.

    They all had fixed 510's and gave inconsistent readings depending on how far they were screwed in.

    If you're serious about making your own coils, you might consider this kit, which includes an ohm meter and is a good value at the asking price. I bought one direct from Coil Master & and the shipping cost was a killer. At some point, you'll end up acquiring most of the items...and at a higher total price.

    You said to ignore some of your posts before If I have the new mini RBA plus.

    I would like to make sure that considering I do own the new mini RBA Plus that still 0.4mm Kanthal A1 wire is the way to go to achieve roughly 0.5ohm coils on the new mini RBA Plus?

    Yeah, just wicking it different. 0.4mm 5wraps/2mm will be around 0.5r
