1. Welcome to Thailand Vapers, an English language forum for members in Thailand and the rest of Asia to talk about vaping.
Commonly referred to as e-cigarettes, vaping is really about the use of personal vaporizers (mods) and atomizers (tanks, clearos, RBAs, RDAs, RTAs) filled with e-liquid.

yep have also both and as dl12345 said some, like mine has it's issues. Currently not using TC. But 2 mods are good when I'm in office, vape one and charge one (I'm chain vaping). Also what I noticed is the evic seems to be more powerful, same rda with same juice on both work differently. The vape in evic is much hotter (but maybe it's that dang thing mine has) but upgradeability is a huge huge plus and I hope the next version will fix mine which will never happen to the subox though it's a sturdy running horse.
I have the tron tank along with evic mini and am not much of a fan of it as juice runs down to the base and clogs the airflow. The airflow adjustment is by trying the best spot for yourself also I can't build my own coils and CLR's in silly city are not available. But I prefer RDA's. So both recommended but would despite the issues go with evic mini if I had to choose.

Thanks both, very helpful to hear first hand reports :)

Update with some newly discovered information: the resistance issues seems to occur with more frequency when using 28awg SS316L wire on sub ohm coils (2mm diameter coil with 4 - 5 wraps). For some reason the mod doesn't seem to like 28awg. When I used 24 awg, the experience was much more consistent. That said, 24 awg is too thick for a 0.5 ohm coil, needing about 12 wraps for a 0.5 ohm 3mm coil and resulting in a pretty large coil that's difficult to fit. I tried 26awg today and this results in a much better sized coil with about 8 three mm diameter wraps that also seems to have better TC stability. 28awg also requires higher vaping temps. On 24/26 I am at 210 celsius (410 fahrenheit) while 28 awg requires temps considerably higher (230+ perhaps due to smaller coil surface area), which makes me somewhat uncomfortable as 215 celsius is about as high as I like to go...

I have replicated these results on my Wisemec Reuleaux RX200 (which incidentally uses a Joyetech chipset and has pretty much the same TC options as the evic VTC mini).

EDIT: when i say more consistent, my multimeter reads the same resistance as the mod on 24/26awg and doesn't on 28awg

Just updating this as I now have eVic mini mod. The screen is much better on eVic, and in some ways it feels more stable in my hand, like I feel less like I'm gonna drop it. The rounded shape on kanger is neat and slightly more compact, but ...

I may get the eVic kit with Tron tank later, just to try out some new things and have spare tanks and mods around, so that I don't start smoking again !

Not sure if I posted this issue with Evic VTC mini already. In Temp mode, the VTC mini drives my battery all the way down to 4%. Most days Im so busy with the biz that I do not check the batt bar. Latest firmware installed

That could be because in TC the board will reduce the wattage as required to maintain correct temp. So then the battery can run lower as the required output is lower. I think lol

That was exactly what the Joyetech forum admin answered to the same question.
