I suppose the Cloners will start to do the same?

Probably...but Yihi is bound to change the authentication algorithm, too, so it may not do much good.

    True.
Clones,or copies, seem to be the bane of all successful manufacturers and countering their efforts must take up a fair amount of the company's profits- Apple seem to be good at keeping colours at bay- and YIHI are doing their best.
As I said,I only have second hand SX M classes, but can really feel the difference from most of my other mods- let's hope the Cloners don't succeed in producing anything significant.

Interesting point regarding Apple. Being a huge company that is currently holding 200 billion USD in cash reserves means they'll sue the ass of anyone that even thinks about it.

Clones are a divisive subject- I am sorry to say that, for some items, I am happy to buy them, but for things like this YIHI Chipset and arguably Apple and similar, where genuine Intellectual Copy is being infringed, I am on the side of the manufacturers- but, when faced with paying very high prices for, let's say a steel tube with a spring and an empty space for a battery, namely a mech mod, I did find it difficult to pay the charges levied by European manufacturers and, maybe not happily buy willingly, paid for a clone.
Strange sort of pchsyzophrenic mentality. ( Grammar Police, I've probably spelt that incorrectly?)

Yeah, both the ones I bought were just under that figure, and both still in warranty- 1 is immaculate, and the other has the usual paint peel common to earlier models..

Wouldn't this be covered under the 1-year warranty?

I doubt they would cover the paint on that as its probably part of wear and tear not unless it came of in a few weeks though, but at the new price of about £170 they should do ,

On their FB page, they've acknowledged that they had paint issues with the early models. Wouldn't hurt to try!

I know 1 thing if I was to buy 1 of those ( even though I would not ) id be in tears if the paint did come off, but this top end models Im sure the paint is on there for a long while otherwise its the companies reputation on the line

I finally fired mine up last night...wonderful vape and a solid piece of kit. Actually like it better with the skin on it...feels just that much better in the hand with the added dimensions the skin provides. But it's not for the faint of heart as it weighs a hefty 300+ grams with battery & tank...heaviest mod I own. Even the Vapor Flask with dual 18650's doesn't weigh as much.

Thanks, I've grown quite fond of her, too...

Yep, it's the (reasonably) civilized side... ;)
