1. Welcome to Thailand Vapers, an English language forum for members in Thailand and the rest of Asia to talk about vaping.
Commonly referred to as e-cigarettes, vaping is really about the use of personal vaporizers (mods) and atomizers (tanks, clearos, RBAs, RDAs, RTAs) filled with e-liquid.

I probably average around 10-12 ml a day but I like a warm thick vape. My mods hardly ever see less than 50 watts. This is running .3 dual Kanthal coils. Hopefully the TC will help out with my battery situation. A dual 18650 will usually get me through the day. But I need at least 3 singles to make it. May not use all the third one but I usually have to put it in for the final stretch.

20 - 30ml / day of 6mg liquid :pleasure:....But then I only stopped smoking 30 cigs a day on the 24th of January (I was smoking some pretty strong cigs too...)

I think I've finally worked out some of the quirks of the evic VTC mini and Releaux RX200. The following work arounds give me reasonable TC consistency in SS316 mode

    • Find the correct wattage in VW mode that gives you the best vape. On a 0.7 ohm coil on my subtank this is around 19w. Dial this in as the maximum wattage in your SS316 profile
    • When waking from sleep or replacing the atty, press the fire button four times to get it to respect wattage settings
    • If you get a weak vape / dry hit, you need to do a reset. Unscrew the atty, press the fire button twice. Screw the atty back in. Press fire three or four times until you see the watt setting being limited. Vape away

Similar applies for Ti. Certainly don't fire in VW, just find the suitable voltage, such as 3.8 or 4 V, and then copy the wattage into Ti accordingly. In Ti it may require 2 or 3 watts more, though. It seems the trick for using eVic VTC Mini's TC successfully is not accelerating and braking at the same time, but merely using it as an ABS to cut of the peaks.

Hmm...I dont have to do anything other than correct for the terribly underpowered vape via custom TCR values. No need to do multiple button pressing or atty re-seating or the like. Also, I hardly ever even take notice of the current wattage setting as I don't have any issues with fluctuating or inappropriate power delivery across all three of my Wismec/Joyetech mods. This is also the case thus far with SS316. Still, your suggestions could be of help to others with that do have the issues and I'll keep in mind if I ever run across them. Thanks for sharing!

I forgot to specify that I use firmware 3.0 and hardware version 1.01. I guess some of these quirks may be specific to the firmware or hardware versions

I guess the The Hohmtech Hohm Wrecker Gen 2 can't do TC with Kanthal after all (from 3:00min to 46:00min on the mod itself)

Received a sample of NiFe30 from Dicodes and whilst there isn't a night and day difference between it and ni200 as far as flavour goes it certainly has more life in it (I always rebuild with ni200). Yet to try SS and Ti but have some on the way.

One day SS will be as common as Kanthal is now.
